Okay, that makes sense! The next few posts should include this scene. Yay! I am glad we can! Because I think they have a lot of room to grow as people. I think it's a good idea, too! (Don't be afraid to use Ravenna as a human shield. As long as she doesn't die, you are free to injure her however you wish. But also, do this at your discretion as I don't want to do a self-indulgent tango either. I just think she might be the best person to handle the bandits at the moment from a fighting perspective.)
I will also suggest that: Ravenna has a lot of knowledge on survival from her time in the labs Katara has a lot of general knowledge. She is half scientist, and is probably as smart as her father. She also reads a lot because "she has a lot of questions" as was mentioned above. Great. This is exactly the kind of thinking that we need!! That makes sense. Olive can't fight in her state. The best she can do at present is flood things, lol. The way I view the current journey is a device to their development. By the end of it, they're strong enough to confront and defeat the queen. The climax happens. After that, there is a denouncement and the story ends. Obviously, this will take quite sometime to do effectively. It will take a lot of posts because there is so much to discover & establish, and so much to execute. We're not near the end yet, though we're definitely in act 2 now. How big act 2 is depends on how many obstacles we place for our characters. The three-act model permits an infinite number, technical
I think a lot needs to happen before they all reach Cliffcross, I agree with @ps102 - If they do fight off bandits (or soldiers sent by the queen?), I think it would be a combined effort with all three women playing a part in it - an opportunity for relationship-building Totally agree. A lot has to happen before the climax
Hey everyone! Thank you for such a fun experience so far, but I had some other things come up and I don't think I have the energy to continue with this project at this time. I'm going to take my leave from this RP from here, but best of luck! Please continue to use the characters I introduced however you see fit!
Thank you so much for letting us know. I have had a lot of fun writing with you. I hope things go well and I also hope you will join the next story. Thank you for your contributions to the story and we will treat your characters with care.
That's sad. You made some very good contributions and we'll miss you. I hope to see you around in some other story, contest, etc!
Also, here is something I've been meaning to ask: We've mentioned scriptures multiple times now. Should we try to actually write them? We don't have to do anything crazy like the bible. We could write one or two stone tablet's worth, so about 300 words each, or something along those lines. We want the tablets to be mystical-sounding, so this would take some poetry. I'm not good at poetics. Thoughts?
We totally could do that, or we could write it as a post for the lore thread and then include it in the story when the time is right. Either is fine because we'd benefit in the same way.
I'm not sure it is necessary to write up the entire body of scriptures, but only make reference to the parts that apply to Ravenna, Olive and Katara. I'd like to reveal this in my next post if that is okay.
Of course it is! You can do whatever you like with your post last I checked. The only problem, I think, is when significant changes happen to someone else's character.
