Okay, I spoke to Louanne and changed Katara's POV in my latest post. Please re-read when you can. I am happy to make adjustments for character consistency.
I am happy to do that too if I must. I think it's a good idea. It's like editing a novel as you write.
@ps102 I am going to work on the cheat sheet today. I assume I can just give you a non-sheet since you have and understand the DSM 5. - Ravenna has gaps in her memory from when she's not in control and tries to pretend she doesn't. - She sometimes hears Alisso talking to her when she's in danger or pain. He will offer a helping hand. The two only swap in dangerous situations. Following, Nari does her best to fix any injuries and calm herself. - She feels tired and a little confused before she switches. This is usually gradual or cued by a situation. Even in danger, it's a slow shift and not very noticeable. - Doesn't know there are personas and yet has a feeling there is something she can't tell others. EDIT: - Ravenna doesn't know how to write well, so doesn't keep a notebook or anything to keep track of events or time passing. None of the others know how to write either. Ravenna has about a 3rd grade level of spelling, etc. (US Schools)
Thanks for that! It'll be of use. I'm going to submit the next post either today or tomorrow. I'm still working on the Qt app. I am technically finished with it but I am adding extra features to get more marks, hehe. Those are nearly done too.
I am glad it is of use to you and no rush. I look forward to your addition and congrats on finishing that app!
@Le Panda Du Mal and @Delusionist - Since we have a new member joining this game, I wanted to invite you both to join again as well. This roleplay style is a bit different as it's a round-robin. We write all the characters and move the story forward. Please let us know so you can jump into this turn. So, basically, we are writing a story together and each of us writes a page and a half before handing it off to the next person. This setting is fantasy and involves magic, science and a tavern.
I made the next post. I feared that a simple arrest would be boring, so I spiced things up a little bit. Actually, I spiced things up a lot. I don't know if this was too much so please let me know. I'm also kind of bad at handling multiple characters. I don't know how well I did there.
It was awesome! I loved it. It added a lot to the world and gave every character a cause to react. I loved it. I will get the Cheatsheet for Louanne today.
I made the tavern into a bit of a mess though. Well, it's not badly damaged, it's just flooded, and there is a also a bit of a crater now in the wooden floor. But it is a lot better than the whole place burning to a crisp. That would suck because it's central to the story, so it must stay. There is also the element of Olive saving it. Olive was just like any other customer so this whole incident links her to the place. She is a traveler who goes around searching for her 'true identity' but what happened at the tavern just now compels her to stay around somehow. Who knows? I'm excited to see where this goes next.
@ps102 - excellent!! fantastic action and it provides a lot of segues as to where to take this ... let me put my thinking cap on ...
Gravy will work this out because she is the GM, but I'm guessing you will go before me. So it'll be: 1. You 2. Me 3. Louanne 4. Gravy Meanwhile, work on your character sheet and submit it. You need that to even join. I think you know this already but it doesn't hurt to remind Looking forward to writing with you!
Oh, I'm required to add a character to join? I missed that detail, I was just going to work with the characters already present to avoid adding too much bloat.
We each get character. Each person having a unique character might have been unreasonable if there were 30 of us but there isn't, so it's fine. This is stated here by the way:
Roman seems like an interesting character. Should we keep him in the story? Should we do up a character sheet for him?
@Louanne Learning and @SoulFire, thanks for bringing this up as I had sometime to think about it. If you're still thinking about a character, that's okay. I will put you in the rotation here and the post order will be: 1. @ps102 2. @Louanne Learning 3. @Gravy 4. @SoulFire So, you will 3rd in line as it is currently Louanne's turn. I will get the character details posted for Ravenna today and welcome to the game! Please feel free to post your character before your turn.
That's fine, if you would like. I had that thought just now, too. Because we don't want character explosions to occur. (this is when an author adds 500 character in a short amount of time.) So, disregard the 'make character' requirement. I will update it on previous posts and in the RP threads. Like @Louanne Learning said, Roman does see to be an interesting character and could create another thread of story. You are free to play him, too. Would be interesting.
He might be interesting to revisit later down the line, for sure. That's actually why I didn't have the mages killing him on the spot. Not sure when but definitely at some point. I feel like someone can bring him back on the page when the opportunity presents itself and is right.
Smart choice. I like it. I do think he could prove to be an interesting character down the line as well.
Now I am posting out of order, but wanted to comment on these. Yes, this is a great way to link Olive to the tavern. I am also glad it didn't completely burn down, too. (Weirdly enough as I like property damage in stories.) YES! Agreed! It was fantastic! Here, have a thinking chair:
Then it's a good idea to read the Character Index and the story so far so you get familiar with the characters!
