Just slowly checking the posts, forums, and advise everyone seems to have. I am currently working on a short story for my creative writing class and thought I would delve into some mind mapping, but wanted to get an idea how others kick start their thoughts. I am mostly a painter, sketch, any medium I can get my hands on, and since writing is an extension of our thoughts, I am trying a new art form. I am also looking to capture a sense of what Gothic genre characteristics might stand out so I can get this party started, so any tips will be welcomed.
