    I think if you use the word "just" as in only or some other 'diminishing' sense, you can likely do without the word. Try removing it and see if it sounds better. It also gives the impression that something isn't all it could be or is missing, when most times it is not.

    A waitress asks "What would you like?"
    "I'll just have a cup of coffee." - Comes off as apologetic they're not getting an entree or something more. Sorry I can't give you more business, or can't be bothered to choose something more original.
    "I'd like a cup of coffee please." - Same order, more affirmative. It's making and asserting a positive instead of suggesting a negative.

    Of course this is just my opinion. ;)
