Lately, I've found that when I post on this site, I have to type very slowly or else not all the keystrokes are recorded. I don't have the problem on any other site, and I only have the problem with my desktop, so I'm assuming that it is something with the machine. Does anyone have an idea what it might be? Sometimes, the response is fine when I first log on, but the get worse the longer I'm here. Most times, though, it's bad to start with. Like today. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
@EdFromNY You haven't by chance upgraded to Internet Explorer 11, have you? I did, and I noticed the exact same problem in multiple forums. When I go back to using Chrome, like I am now, the problem vanishes.
the problem [i've been having' was here, originally] is that when i try to move words around, they always appear at the end of the text in my post, not where i've 'aimed' them... i've been having ...like that!... when i tried to move 'i'm having' to another place in the sentence, see where it went!?... when i tried to move it back, it still stayed at the end... if i tried to move it back again, it would appear after this
@mammamaia - I've had terrible problems with the site on my tablet. I don't even try to post from the tablet anymore, because the text jumps around, so that you're typing in one spot and suddenly the cursor moves to another place. Oddly, this is the only forum where I have that issue. @EdFromNY - Go to Help in the Menu and then About Internet Explorer and see. If it is IE 11, that could be the problem. I recommend Chrome because it is a faster browser anyway If that's not the issue, I'm not sure what would be causing it.
@Steerpike - yeah, it's IE 11. Thanks. Edit - Now using Chrome, and - Eureka! - it works. Thanks, again!
could be the IE thing for me, too, since i've also been having probs with the text options on the writersdigest forum lately...
