Kick ass thriller that'll be unrelenting from the word go

Discussion in 'Plot Development' started by Patrick94, Apr 9, 2011.

I've had the basis of an idea for a thriller floating around in my head for the last few days... but the only thrillers I've ever read are The Business of Dying and The Last Ten Seconds by Simon Kernick (I've seen a lot of sick movies, though). I want my story to be a really, really fast moving plot, with the MC pretty much battling everything from every angle on his quest to essentially save the world.

    Any help or tips?

Read some Alistair MacLean. One of my favorites of his was Circus, but he may be best known for Ice Station Zebra.

I'd say he has it all over Tom Clancy any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

If you don't mind gay literature - Bart Yates writes at a breathtaking pace - it takes some getting used to - I was literally needing to put his books down to pause for breath.
