Kidnapping Laws in 1880's?

I'm attempting to write a screenplay that involves a kidnapping in 1880's London, England. I've googled laws surrounding kidnappings, or even kidnapping cases, but can't seem to find anything. Anyone have an idea what the repercussions would be for this, if any?

for fee-based ones, google is quite good, may even have wrested 'the best' slot from lexis/nexis...
