I’m in revision hell right now. So help take my mind off my many mistakes. What is everyone’s favorite ice cream, and what is the weirdest thing you ever put on it? Okay since you asked, I’ll go first. Favorite ice cream: Pistachio Weirdest topping: Bacon bits (I was pregnant okay.)
Favorite ice cream: Rocky Road Weirdest topping: Toad Sweat (which is actually the name of a sweet hot sauce made with habanero peppers and key lime juice)
Favorite ice cream: Mint-Chocolate Chip, Orange Sherbert Weirdest topping: Hmm....I'm pretty plain and don't use toppings that often....I once put cheese on top of it to see what it would taste like.
Oh gosh. Ice cream is my favorite thing on earth. I'm not even kidding. If I could eat ice cream for every meal and not gain 50 pounds, I totally would! Favorites: Cookies 'n Cream, Strawberry, Peppermint, and Raspberry Sorbet Weirdest Topping: I rarely ever put toppings on...But I think Magic Shell is so weird!
I love toffee flavoured ice cream, butterscotch, caramel, and insanely chocolatey-chocolate types (the ones where it's chocoltae ice cream with chocolate fudge sauce, chocolate chips and chocolate biscuit pieces in it and stuff ).
Oh this is bad...just thinking about ice cream blows my diet. Favorite: whatever is in the freezer! Odd toppings: fruit salad, run ever so slightly through the blender...just enough to chop the various fruits into small chunks, then add whole raisins. (I hope you're happy...my weight went up a pound while typing!) .....NaCl
Favorite Flavor: Hmm, Vanilla or Rainbow Sherbert. Weirdest Topping: Eh... chocolate syrup? I've never put any topping besides chocolate syrup on my Vanilla ice cream. Other flavors don't need toppings.
Favorite Flavor: Sweet Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Weirdest Topping: I can't think of one. I love hot fudge. NO NUTS please, of any kind in ice cream. It's against nature.
Eww Cogito, that sounds gross. I know, I should talk, but I had an exscuse for screwing up my ice cream with bacon bits. I have to ask though, did it taste good? Now I have ice cream on the brain, thanks. Maybe I'll call my hubby and see if he'll pick up my fav. Just a small thing of it though, nothing too large.(I swear) okay I know I started it, but you guys launched it into overdrive. keep it up, we'll all gain weight togeother.
favourite ice cream run and raisin. favourite ice cream treat peanut buster parfait from dairy queen. don't think I have ever had a strange topping. maybe stewed rhubarb on vanilla ice cream.
Oh my gosh, this thread makes me hungry. Favorite(s): Chocolate chip cookie dough is definitely #1... and ginger snap ice cream from this one place in Boston (*melts*). And I love orange sherbet also. Oh and I really like those party / birthday cake flavored ice creams I don't think I've ever put any weird toppings on... I like hot fudge and caramel. And graham crackers sometimes. I really, really love Dippin' Dots for some reason. It's kind of a tradition amongst my friends and I.
I love ice cream. My favorite is butter pecan. Ice cream doesn't like me back, though. I'm lactose intolerant.
Oh, now that's just sad Wrey. My youngest son is also lactose intolerant. But you know, they do make lactose free ice cream. Doesn't taste as good though, and it's real hard to find. This didn’t really help you at all did it? Sorry
Mint Chocolate Chip. Weirest Topping: Bacon bits! Hey it was one time just to see if everything tastes better with bacon.
My favorite is peppermint and Coffee... I guess the strangest thing I ever put on top of my ice cream would have to be Lays Potato chips, crumbled...I love sweet and salty, it was the only salty I could find...
My favorite kinda ice cream is peppermint, and I use ice cream as french-fry dip whenever I get the chance It's actually really yummy!
Topping it with alcohol is not that strange. A number of dessert wines and liqueurs are wonderful accents. Cherry Kijafa is wonderful drizzled over French vanilla ice cream. Chambord black raspberry liquer and Grand Marnier orange liquer also make wonderful accents. Some people also like Creme de Menthe. Then there are flamed desserts, where you warm a tablespoon of brandy or rum with sugar, drizzle it over or around the ice cream, and light it. The flame caramelizes the sugar, and enough of the alcohol flavor remains to add a wonderful flavor. Not alcoholic, but also much better than it sounds, is a good balsamic vinegar. Not the ones in your usual supermarket, but a top quality balsamic from a gourmet shop. It's tart and sweet and very rich in flavor.
Would you consider alcohol to be strange to anyone under the legal age limit? I'd like to think so. = p
Well, the quantities present for a dessert serving are pretty minimal. I was not restricted from partaking of those desserts (as a rare treat) when I was young.
Am I the only one who prefers chocolate over vanilla? Many people I talk to don't, and I find that strange because vanilla is bland, and chocolate is, well, CHOCOLATE!!!!!
