    Los Angeles neighborhoods

Discussion in 'Research' started by Tesoro, Dec 14, 2011.

I have a question. I've got this male character living in Los Angeles. He works in a bank, earns quite well and is kind of a snob, he wants a home to show off to his friends when he invites them over, even though he isn't by any means Rich rich, more of a wannabe rich guy. He lives in an appartment, by the way, not a house. he's young, early 30's and doesn't have a family. His focus is on his career. Is there a neighborhood where you think it's likely that this guy could live? I found this is kind of hard to research with google as the only source, so if you could help me out it would be great. Thanks!

A lot of them, really. If he works in banking it would be trendy and appropriate for that type of character to live in a nice apartment complex downtown. I know a number of professionals who do. So that's an option.

Ok, Actually I thought about it (downtown), but I didn't know if it would be realistic. Is there a certain area/street where those kinds of apartments are located?

Hmmmm. Maybe the South Park area.

Streets downtown with housing include Flower, Grand, Olympic. Might be some on Figueroa between downtown and the Staples Center (not certain on that one). Try a Google search on apartments in downtown Los Angeles.

Century City is also good for a financial person. Could live in Santa Monica :)

I had a virtual tour the other day around the area, it was pretty interesting and I also followed Steerpikes advice to google the apartments in the area to have an idea. It worked. Now I have to check this last option too :)
