OK so I'm sure this sounds like a dumb question but it just occurred to me that I really don't understand the difference between main and minor characters. I always thought that main characters were the ones always showing up left and right but some how I feel that isn't the case... Can anyone help?
Main character: Is in almost every chapter, main focus of story, the novel is basically their story of their life. Minor: Usually used as plot devices, isn't main focus, doesn't need to show up in every chapter, is there to support main character hence their other name, supporting characters.. I bet other members could explain it better, but I hope that helped.
