which is quite fitting considering my "shrine" of collected knickknacks at my desk (a bush thingy left over from Christmas... a DIY sugar skull from my Dia De Los Muertos program.... a rolled wax candle from my honey bee program.... a defective 3D printed David..... and my wire zen tree i also made)

Oh I know, but hey, just flip the image, right? Boobs on the other hand... no way to fix that.

I remember rolling wax candles! They come in different colours too, I think.

Also, I just want to point out real quick—the two big wrinkles making it hard to read the text? Both coming off the boobs. Hey, I'm just sayin'...

The Fuerte is coming in and the Hass tree is dropping them on the ground. My Cocker brings them in and buries them in the couch. She's not too discrete about it though, so they are easy to find.

Found this little hummingbird nest in the yard earlier this week. Was wondering why they were around with such frequency.

Humming birds have nests? I mean, of course they do, but can they stop flapping their wings long enough to lay the eggs? Do they even need to stop flapping?

They can actually stop and sit in the nest for brief periods. I seen't it.

Dunno but you’re lucky. Only time I ever saw a hummingbird was when holidaying in the south of France. I genuinely thought it was a giant bee when I caught it in my peripheral.

Do you not have them in England?

Edit: Wow I had no idea that true hummingbirds are only to be found in the Americas! I feel so fortunate. They’re more fairy than bird. I love them so much but I haven’t seen them in so long. Off to buy a feeder tomorrow.

No, but we have something called a hummingbird hawk-moth, but that’s a moth that looks like a hummingbird.

In fact, a little digging now tells me that the one I saw in France probably wasn’t a hummingbird either, but a variety of the aforementioned hawk-moth.

Whoa, weird. They're all over the place here. Still can't picture one chilling out to keep its eggs warm. Or staying still long enough to land the ordinance in the nest.

We have humming birds—in San Diego—that come to the kitchen window when the feeder is empty.

I've decided, after however many years on this forum, that it's time to show y'all my face. Took a pretty good shot the other day that I think highlights my good points, so here we go:
