My friends always assume I do my writing in a Starbucks

...which coincidentally I'm doing right now, Cold Brew in hand.

Hi all! It's a pleasure to be in this forum surrounded by like-minded people. My name's Chris, 26 this year, from the humid but beautiful island of Singapore.

My background's in Sound; I studied Sound Engineering and Sound Design back in school, but have taken a more corporate route now and developing my skills in Business Development. Goals to be an entrepreneur, and still working my way there.

Writing has always been an escape for me, something to escape the daily mechanics of work, family, etc. I do most of my writings on Sundays when I dedicate a portion of my day solely to writing. Although, more often than not, it happens during pocketed moments of inspiration in the week. I mainly write poetry based off personal experiences and perception, although I'd like to dive into writing fiction. I just haven't reached the tipping point for this yet.

They say that if you want to be smarter in a subject, then surround yourself with people who are smarter than you in it. I hope that i can learn and improve a lot more with this community. Nice to meet everyone! Be gentle :)

    Welcome Chris
That's a good point. I have been known to say: "I don't know anything but the people that do."
