First of all, what in the world is Katipunan X Pang-aapi?Katipunan X Pang-aapi (Katipunan X Oppression) is a short story being divided into four Story Sequences created by myself. It is based on the Philippine Revolution, Philippine-American War and lastly, Sulu Rebellion in which it spanned from 1896-1915. It tells the story of a 20 year old Sulu rebel named Mawar bin Esah who he have been adopted by a Chinese martial artist master named Yang Liuxian after years of abuse from his Spanish father. He also fathered 4 other children who have become orphans as well. He adopted Waki Sukejuro, Hada Sukejuro, Shalin U. and Karni U. Master Yang Liuxian have invented a Fighting Style based on the mixture of Break Dancing and Taekwondo, 蘇魯舞酒鬼風格 or in English as Dancing Drunkard Style of Sulu based on his training by his previous master as a child and have been taught by Waki Sukejuro, Hada Sukejuro, Mawar bin Esah and Shalin U. except Karni U. who she believed in her family's traditional martial art in her homeland, Silambam. After 7 years of training since Mawar bin Esah's escape from his abusive Spanish father in 1889 he have mastered the ability to perform the Dancing Drunkard Style of Sulu from master Yang Liuxian and was able to take a break or so after those 7 years. But on August 19, 1896 when the Spanish authorities discovered the Katipunan, an anti-colonial secret organization. The Katipunan, led by Andrés Bonifacio, was a liberationist movement whose goal was independence from the 350 years of colonial control from Spain through armed revolt. However, it was set 2 months before that when Master Yang Liuxian was planning to evacuate to China to prevent any further danger from Corporal Camilo Gallo along with Governor Luis Abellán who are willing to take control of Mawar's village and make it his domain and perhaps conquer all of the Sulu Archipelago to make himself President of the Republic. Mawar bin Esah didn't want it to happen and he have two choices to either evacuate to China or remained in the Sulu Archipelago to protect the village. After a heated argument with his peers master Yang Liuxian decided to condemn this plan and see it for themselves. Two days later, an storm have occurred in the Sulu Archipelago and have reached his village. He wasn't aware of it and they to relocate somewhere as a group. The worst part is that Camilo Gallo's men have reached Mawar's village while the storm have started to get stronger. As he and his peers have fled the village by horseback they noticed that they forgot to give master Yang Liuxian the horse as well but it was too late. He got shot by Corporal Camilo Gallo in which it still remains a mystery and have successfully captured the village but decided not to raze it. Afterwards, a huge lighting bolt have made the horse become panicked thus leading Mawar bin Esah and his peers to become lost. He fell down to the ground as he went unconscious for 7 hours only to be founded by a Spanish boy named Maxímo París and that is where the story ends here. Well, as for right now....... So, in case you don't that the word Pang-aapi is a Filipino word for Oppression, Oppressed or in other words Of the Oppressed. Another thing is that this story will be Historical Fiction meaning that it will be based on Historical Events only to be viewed under the eyes of Mawar bin Esah and may or may not become historically accurate as it could possibly can. Now you know what my idea of this story was like. If you have any questions or would like to give away suggestions and ideas to me please let me know. Have a wonderful day!
