I jumped out of Dean's grasp and landed with a thud on the ground. "Oh hey Sammy Sam." I said as I saw Samantha. She was nice, she never got mean like Wyndii and Junior. Which is a scary mean. Wait I should probably ask her. "Hey Sammy Sam are you a nice girl or a mean girl?' I asked.
I let go of David and looked at her talking to Samantha. "Look 'Sammy', you got a new friend." I started to walk over to the second Lava man that Wyndii hadn't killed and I put my hand up to him. "Please leave." I said while scratching my head with one hand and use my gravitational powers in the other. I used the powers to make the force of a swinging wrecking ball knock the lava man into the black hole I set up behind him. "That should take care of that."
Lava Men! The lavaman that Wyndii bit into exploded and lava went everywhere. The other lavamen became more invigorated and they turned up the heat. All the students could feel the crushing power of the heat that radiated from the fiery beings. The gnome snickered. "Lavamen are made of lava, you witch bullies!", he said. "Burn, baby, burn!" Then Wyndii's psychic attack hit the gnome. He snarled at her. "Nice try", he growled. He struggled with her mentally and finally blocked her out of his mind. Now he looked ashy gray with exhaustion, but new lavamen were surrounding him in a protective ring.
David smiled brightly and up rooted a massive tree out of the ground. He held it over his head without to much trouble and simply chucked it at the Lavamen. "I love throwing stuff." I said happily.
Samantha "Look 'Sammy', you got a new friend." Even in this spectral form, I could feel myself blushing. I turned to David, not knowing what to answer. "Um... I think I'm a nice person... I guess..." I mumbled shyly as he chucked a tree at the creatures. Not the brightest move, as far as I knew, but what did I know? The heat from the fire creatures was starting to bother me. How does a specter feel heat? I'll have to ask that to Mr. Kyre Looking at the gnome, I could see he was starting to get tired. Maybe now I could try again. I went over to David, who was having the time of his life. Such a naive boy, and yet so happy... "Hey, David? If I bring the gnome over here, do you think you could hold him down? Without hurting him, of course."
I nodded "Oh yeah holding him down would be super easy. I can do a lot of stuff that needs strength, I'm really strong." David said sweetly.
Wyndii I yowled as lava spattered over my body, and my skin steamed as i changed shape. My dog-like body boiled and warped, enlongating and growing scales. I grinned, hissing as a forked tongue flicked out from between my lips, my eyes widening hypnotically as i stared at the gnome. "Baaaaaaaaad move Gnome....." i hissed, weaving my head from side to side as i slolidified into the shape of a black bassilisk. My gaze could render anyone frozen stiff, and my bite could poison and my breath could burn. Bunching my massive coils to create a wall between the lavamen's heat and the others, my scales gleamed with a dark light as blue runes began to glow along my length. My siblings follwed suit and changed as well, forming a menacing wall of staring eyes and hissing mouths. On the ground beneath the gnome, a star surrounded by a circle began to glow. An imprisoning spell that i had learned from my past. "Hey David? If i bring the gnome over here, do you think you could hold him down? Without hurting him, of course." I heard Samantha say and turned my head for a second, my forked tongue flicking out to taste the air around me. "I'lllllll hold it ssssssstilllllll ssssssoo you cannnn grab it..." i hissed, turning my gaze once again to the gnome to make him freeze in place. As for the lavamen... "BURNNNNNNNN!" i shreiked, opening my maw wide and loosing a jet of blue flame so hot that the lavamen would end up incinerated if they touched it. My scales were impenetrable, and with the fact that i had no reflection that a normal basilisk would fall to, i was unstoppable.
"Thanks Wyndii. But you still look kinda mean." I stated happily as I ran over to the Gnome. I hugged it with everything I had. I could feel Junior doubling my strength, so I could hold the Gnome in place.
David "Good job you three." I watched the three of them work together after I made all the lava towards me in go into a black hole. I got two left for the next five minutes I thought. I couldn't think of any way I could help but I saw Wyndii was wounded and I pulled her back and as David took care of the gnome. I tried to heal her with some first aid I had in my bag, wrapping bandages around her. I never studied light magic so I do not know healing spells. "You okay, Ms.G.A.I.G.A?"
Wyndii "G.A.I.A. Dean." i corrected him, blinking suddenly as my spirit became again the bright blue that it had been before other than the shadowy mass i had become. I let him wrap the bandages around me then stifled a laugh as i thought of something. Swooping down i knocked Dean's feet out from under him and made him land on my head, rising up so he would have a good amount of view from the top of my head. My body grew until my coils were as thick as a tree, my eyes and fangs measuring about as long as his arm. I hissed to ward off any incoming entities, snapping my fangs as i circled around Samantha and David while he held the gnome. No one would get past me.
Mr Kyre The gnome struggled and wriggled viciously. "Get 'em, lava guys!", he crowed. The lavamen approached burning up anything that came within a yard of them. The tree David chucked at them was burnt to a crisp and Wyndii's blue fire only fueled them and made them burn brighter. They couldn't be turned to stone because they didn't have eyes, they sensed their body heat and they were coming closer and closer from all sides. "Halt! Stop and desist!", Kyre boomed. He had escaped his prison of roots and he flew at the lavamen like an avenging angel. His glowing crimson spirit was immune to the heat and he raised his hands making a bull-sign with his fingers. The tips of his forefinger and his pinky shined cherry-red and then he inverted the sign, pointing his fingers down. The lavamen howled and were sucked down into the earth. Kyre dusted his hands together and red spark flew everywhere. "Well, that was almost a desaster", Kyre said to his students with a handsome smile. "I see you got the gnome. I didn't know he would summon fire beings, usually gnomes just run away." "I had to do what I had to do!", the gnome barked. Kyre chuckled, then said, "Well, we caught you so you have to tell us your true name." The gnome grumbled something no one could hear. Kyre snapped his fingers and a bright red flame lit up his indez finger. The gnome scowled and said, "Jahaliel! My true name is Jahaliel!" The air tingled with electric power when he said his name and his skin glowed milky silver. "Good--now what should we do with him?", Kyre said. Suddenly he looked up sharply and said, "The grandfather clock is chiming, we have to get back soon. Can't stay out of your body forever or it will die. As for you, Jahaliel"--the gnome glowed once again--"how bout you spy on Jenny Greenteeth for us? She took one of our students and we haven't heard from her lately. So, that is your mission. Now go." Jahaliel frowned deeply and disapeared in a puff of rusty brown dust. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kyre returned them to their bodies and they instructed them to pat themselves all over to help ground their spirits back in the material world. Then the doors slid open and in came Needfyre wearing a metallic gold kimono embroidered with brightly colored fish. She bowed to Kyre and said, "I think it is time I have my first counseling session with the students..." She was about to lead them away when she blinked in surprise. "Someone is coming through the wormhole", Needfyre said. "I didn't authorise that..." Right in front of all of them, Needfyre twitched her fingers and a full silver mirror appeared in front of her. In the mirror they could all see the stone archway at the edge of the island that they all had stepped through. Now a tall woman wearing all-black came out of it. A long sword was at her hip and a long black snake wrapped around her entire left arm. Her hair was dark purple and her black eyes were sharp and mean. "It's Skadi the Huntress", Needfyre gasped. "She's a Counsel Member, she's in charge of war decisions and security. She's highly deadly. They only send her to...kill." Needfyre waved her hand and the mirror changed to show the meeting room of the Magic Counsel. Moira--the woman made of bright moonlight and deepest shadows--loomed into view. "What is this!", Needfyre snapped. "Why is Skadi on my island?!" Moira smirked. "I suppose you mean Skadi? I wasn't sure I believed your story about how you didn't know anything about GAIA's, so I sent Skadi to find out the truth. Do not resist her, or she will use force." Suddenly the mirror turned to silver dust and drifted to the floor.
Wyndii When we made it back to the classroom one of my siblings burst up in front of me. Cole was snarling ferociously and his dark eyes were gleaming with a murderous intent. "What is it?" i asked, worried as i reverted back into my human body, my aura regaining its normal appearance again. Someone is here -someone who intends to kill you. We have all agreed to combine our power to restore my body -get ready. he growled, his ghostly frame suddenly glowing as he became solid. His feet landed on the ground with faint clicks of his heels, and his face was one of a carefully hidden anger as he looked at the others. "Look, it's probably not the best time for me to say this; but you do NOT want to get me mad right now -capeche?" he growled, his dark eyes glowing faintly as his hands sparked a deep red light. He was the fire of the six G.A.I.A's; the first of them to become a shadow G.A.I.A. He didn't even bother to explain how he had gone from being a ghost back to being "alive" again, just crossed his arms and went to stand by the door, his tall, muscular body making an intimidating sight even as his aura -a deep red color- filled the room until I struggled to breathe. Then he grinned slightly, "Just so you know, I can't be killed by any means magical -I was created to burn our the magic from anyone's body like my sister can absorb or cancel it -only my effect is permanent. So i'd suggest not to interfere with any of my business. You leave me alone -I leave you alone."
Needfyre "You leave me alone -I leave you alone." Headmistress Needfyre was not intimdated. "Young sir, or whatever you are", Needfyre said in a grim voice. "I am in charge here. You stay out of my way. If you endanger or harm any of my students I will be forced to send Wyndii home." Needfyre glared at Cole and then turned to Wyndii. "I do not want to do that, but I can't risk all your lives because of one wreckless ghost boy. Now--here's what you need to do." Needfyre whirled on Kyre. "Get the students and all the teachers and hide in the Underground Library... I will try to fight off Skadi." Kyre blinked in surprise. "Fight off Skadi the Huntress? The Counsil will not be pleased." "I know, but I can't let them get Wyndii", Needfyre said. "Don't worry about me, I can hold off Skadi." "Hold her off isn't the same as defeating her", Kyre said, but he obeyed and herded all the students into the hall. Behind them Needfyre clapped her hands and disapeared with a sound like a thunderclap. Kyre was leading the students down the main hall at a quick pace when they passed a wall mirror. The mirror shimmered and showed Needfyre and Skadi the Huntress arguing in front of the school. Kyre didn't notice and kept walking, but the students noticed. Suddenly, the image of Skadi lashed out with her long black snake like a whip. Needfyre raised her hands and created a shield out of sunlight, but Skadi's snake-whip bashed right through it and scratched her shoulder with it's long fangs. Needfyre fell to one knee and the mirror shimmered and went blank. Kyre was still a couple feet ahead. Do the students keep following him, or go help their headmistress...?
Samantha I felt a shiver go down my spine as the image of the headmisstress went blank. So there was a person even more powerful than her? My first thought was to go help her. However, if this person... Skadi had managed to hit Ms. Needfyre so promptly and so assertively, what good would I be? Even if all the other students come with me, we'd get blown to smithereens. I was torn. I tried to open my mouth to speak but only mumbles came out. "Sh-Should... I think... What do we do?"
Dean What to do what to do. Following K, I remembered back to the Professor and his conversation about this Skadi. If he or she was powerful enough to beat the Professor, no problem. I knew together we could beat Jenny. So, that would be like Jenny and the Professor versus this Skadi. I wondered what to do, whether to help the old hag or not. I thought, might as well. I stopped in my tracks and turned around and started to sprint in the Professor's direction. "I am so dead."
Wydnii The moment i saw the image in the mirror i hissed, remembering that woman from when she had led the "purge" in the laboratory to destroy us. Cole gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, looking me in the eye. I nodded. "Kyre -keep this safe for me and I guarantee i will return." i mumbled, pressing the black crystal with the images of the sun and moon in it into Kyre's hand. A G.A.I.A. could not be killed unless that orb was shattered -and no one knew that besides me and my siblings. Cole grabbed my hand and I charged foreward into the mirror, using my abilites of crystal-reflect to transport myself directly into the room Needfyre and Skadi were in. Cole's body immediatly burst into flames and he gave a hard grin to Skadi as my body became traced by bright neon blue tatoos, my eyes glowing as crystals burst up out of the floor around me. "Been a long time hasn't it Skadi?" Cole growled, "You and that Magic Council of yours wanted protection from an uprising, but you never realized that the good doctor who created us wanted revenge upon all mages -I'll admit he was a very clever man." I remembered her face dimly -as i was only a baby when i had last seen her. But i steadied my stance and let my true powers of cancelation and absorption grow, coming around me in a threatening blue aura that wreathed like snakes. Cole did likewise; his ability to burn out the magic ability from any mage filling the room until it was stiflingly hot. "I will give you one warning -leave now or this whole place goes up in flames." Cole said codly, and i prepared to crystalize everyone should he do that in order to preserve their lives. Then Cole looked over at Needfyre. "By the way -this is my buisness, and you do not want to get caught in the crossfire ma'am. I would prefer not to upset my sister. And i am a G.A.I.A for your information." this last part was said with a grin as he raised both hands at Skadi and let loose a pillar of flame that -should it come in contact with her- would burn all the magic from her body while not harming a single hair on her. I crouched and raised a sheild of crystal from the floor to surround Needfyre -keeping Skadi from hitting her again while at the same time protecting her from the flames my brother had conjured.
Fight time! "Nooo!", Needfyre cried as the fire pillar surged toward Skadi. Skadi was engulfed by the roaring flames and when the pillar went out, she was encapsulated inside a giant egg-shaped amethyst crystal. From inside she grinned and her voice echoed weirdly as she spoke. "Nice try, Cole", Skadi said in cold voice. "I knew there were G.A.I.A. here, and I see pathetic little Wyndii is present, too. The Magic Counsel would want me to exterminate you all..." Skadi stopped grinning and spread her arms apart. The huge crystal egg broke into a thousand needle-point shards that shot at the students. "She feeds off of violence!", Needfyre cried in a weak voice. She looked pale and she was holding her infected shoulder where Skadi's snake-whip had scratched her. "Attacking her only makes her stronger!" Your turn!
Wyndii "Adapt!" Cole yelled, dodging away from the shards as I sprang high into the air. Fire trailed along his body and he glowed as he transformed, changing into a fiery basilisk as i landed upon his head, one hand bracing myself as he hissed, snapping his fangs. Raising my hands high into the air, i began murmuring indecipherable words, my body writhing and changing. When i had solidified, a mirror image of Skadi now stood in my place. I was everything that she was -including powers, and i smiled slightly. "Can you defeat yourself?" I asked, and Cole roared, making the room shake as his massive coils moved over the floor. Darkness enshrouded us, and only our glowing eyes were visible as my brother weaved his head slowly from side to side, aiming to petrify Skadi with his gaze. I secretly readied myself to defend should Skadi attack, blue sparks shimmering on the floor around us.
Fight time! "You can copy her all you want", Needfyre said through gritted teeth on the floor, "but you can't copy her weapons. She absorbs negative vibes through her sword. Take the sword!" Skadi smirked as if she didn't have a care in the world. "It's your life", she said with a shrug. Then she flicked her fingers at the floor and inky-black drops splattered on the ground. The black slime multiplied and stretched into fifty Shadow Ninja's armed with nunchaku, kunai blades, and all sorts of weapons. "Attack", Skadi commanded, and the Shadow Ninja's sprang into action! Your turn!
Wydnii "G.A.I.AAAAAAAAAAAAA." Cole hummed, making the room vibrate until everyone was shaking. As the ninjas approached he reared back, opening his jaws and bathing the floor around him in flame to turn the ninjas to ash -any that got through could not puncture his scales anyways. I listened intently to Needfyre's cry though and raised my arms high in a triangular shape, my brown hair whipping about wildly as the tattoos covering my body glowed brighter. "Take the sword, take the life, take the will for battle strife!" i chanted, my eyes glowing until they were pure white. "Negative to positive, fire to water, sorrow to happiness, pain to pleasure!" My arms suddenly transformed into jagged crystals shaped like lances, glowing white like my eyes as i launched myself over Skadi in front of Needfyre to fight off the ninjas that went at her. My lances stabbed, parried, and absorbed the magic that had made the beings -pumping my own reserves. I changed from Skadi's body now, but this time it was neither human nor animal. I was twice as tall as a normal human, my thinly-furred body seemingly stretched to impossibility as my limbs whipped around, my skull like a dog's but with it's muzzle oddly shaped. Two doe-like ears rotated around, catching any movement that might come my way as twin horns spiraled up like spears. But there was one disturbing feature about me that would catch everyone's eye. Stitched lined my skin -for this was the true body i had been born in. I had been sown together piece by piece, bone by bone, cell by cell. Thin wires replaced veins to pump blood through my body, glowing bright blue at my neck and wrists. I opened my jaws to reveal hooked fangs and howled, the sound like a pained scream but meant to deafen my opponents. Crouching on long, crooked legs with paws like a lion's, my serpentine tail twitched at it's tip as i watched Skadi with narrow eyes the color of sapphires. My hands -or rather the taloned claws that i had- were transformed into a pair of thin swords like Katanas. "Needfyre -I can't let you be hurt." i said quietly and turned the floor beneath her into crystal, instantly transporting her into the room that Kyre was in. When she landed she would discover i had drained the magic that was in the poison that she had absorbed -thus nullifying it. Rising up to my full height, I howled again, and Cole turned into his true for as well -a mirror of mine except for the fact that he was pitch black with red eyes and a heavily-built frame. "We beat you before -we can do it again." we said, then charged Skadi from opposite sides in an attempt to knock her sword from her hand.
Fight time! Skadi didn't move as the two G.A.I.A.'s approached. In a flash she unsheathed her sword which crawled with glowing red-violet runes. The light of the runes pulsed brilliantly and Cole and Wyndii felt their feet stick to ground. Below them black goo covered the ground, the same substance that made up the Shadow Ninja's. "You're going to have to be more clever than that", Skadi hissed in a rare display of emotion. The black slime pulled them down into an icy void and spit them out behind the other students, who were being assaulted by the Shadow Ninja's. Some of the Ninja's attacked Cole and Wyndii, throwing blades and slashing with swords. The ones that Cole had set on fire earlier had melted into puddles but now they were back and fiercer than ever. "Bad move getting rid of Needfyre", Skadi commented casually. "Maybe she could have given you more useful advice..." She grinned evilly. Your turn!
Dean I kept running towards the room as fast as I could. My white hair was flowing in the wind. I kept running as I heard loud sounds coming from the room down the hall. One sound was big enough it made me tumble. I could see the door down the hall. Little shards of glass like material came out and I dodged it. I grabbed the potion I stole from the library we went to with that old man. I drank it and felt at full power. I wasn't sure if I should call on the power that the voices in my head could give me yet. Or to wait till' the war. Because after I use it I will be drained for about a day. And wouldn't be able to use it again. I looked back at David, Frank and Samantha. "You three should stay with K! Just incase, we three don't make it back. I looked at the knight displays that were down the hall and I took one of their broadswords and filled it with some of my energy. For one of my new techniques. "This should be good."
Fight time! Skadi saw Dean barreling into the room with a sword. "Get him", Skadi said lazily. She flicked her fingers again and black drops splattered on the floor, creating more Shadow Ninja. The Ninja's raised their own weapons and yelled their battle cries, and charged Dean. "Do you think you can match fighting skills with a ninja?", Skadi said with a sarcastic grin. Your turn!
Dean "No, but I don't need to." I used my gravitational powers to pull them closer, which was much easier to do since they were already made of my element, darkness. I did a 360 slice with the sword. The sword has black hole matter in it. Anything sliced with it, with my will, will be erased from exsistance. By going into a black hole at light speed. Onmce the object is gone, the hole dissapears.
