    Names

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by ILTBY, Dec 5, 2007.

I'm not sure if this has been done before?

I thought it might be cool if we all shared our (first) names in this thread to get to know each other a bit better :)

I'm Josie, there's no meaning behind it.

Is there any reason for that? :)

I personally prefer Josephine or Jose, I'm not very fond of Josie.

Mostly because my real name is constantly mispronounced and it is far beyond annoying.

Daniel. But I'm only called Daniel by employers who don't remember me saying "Please call me Dan."
And I'm also called Daniel by my Mom when I do something she doesn't approve of. When I hear her say my full name, then I run away.

Ashley-I was named after a guy my mom had a crush on (on a daytime soap opera) even though I am female. Thats the joke in the family-I don't think it is true though.

Ashley is mostly a popular female name, I thought? I went to highschool with several Ashleys - all female.

now every lynda is spelling it with a y.

Adamant there was a cartoon character called Atom Ant and that is what I see everytime I read your name.

My name is so obvious that a chimp could figure it out.

i.e: It is a name within a name.
