I'm working on a story about a boy and girl that meet at the age of eight, and become best friends. The story covers their relationship up to their mid-twenties. I'm looking for books that cover this subject, young fiends that grow up together. It doesn't matter if they just stay friends, get involved, or break up. Any suggestions?
Are you writing a YA book or an adult book? I feel like so many of the stories about this involve one of the characters dying. I assume you meant friends? ;-) None are coming immediately to mind that span this pretty significant age range. Is your story mostly about the relationship or is there a larger, separate plot?
It's a story about soul mates, with a twist. I see it as young adult, but the book takes them through college.
