Need critical help with writing

Hi everyone,

I am looking for someone to have a look over some pieces of writing critically and give me feedback. I'm looking for someone who is not afraid to be harsh, but will be constructive. If anyone is interested, please let me know, it will be a great help

We have a Writing Workshop for this, Jason. It's the core purpose of the forum.

 

As far as I can tell, the Writing Workshop is for complete stories? I am just looking for someone to look through a section of my story about 300 - 600 words and just judge the writing. Grammar, punctuation, selection of detail. All of that stuff. If I can put this in the writing workshop, let me know

 

You can absolutely post just a section of the story, in fact that's what we suggest to writers who have hopes of publishing a given story later.

as a full time mentor I do what you're asking for privately, by email, if you'd prefer that to posting your excerpt... or if you still need a more detailed assessment after posting...
