Hello! I'm currently writing a fantasy world in which, biologically, men will know for sure who their perfect partner is when they first hear their voice (the protagonist is caught when murdering her royal family by an assassin hired by an enemy kingdom, but this assassin hears her voice and he instantly knows). The thing is, their body/minds do not allow to kill their "perfect partner" because they would end up ruining the chances of "the most perfect outcome" aka the most perfect baby that these two people could ever have. My question is: do you have any suggerences? I think there is something that is missing, but I cannot really see what. (PS: My first language is not English, so yeah.. sorry if I cannot explain myself as a "normal author")
