I've been itchin' to start on a short story/children's rhyme and I've got the motivation to really get it going. I haven't taken any classes in writing but I was hoping someone could explain the poetic meter of anapestic tetrameter to a novice. Any help on it would be awesome, I want the whole first book to be in that poetic meter.
so, you want to write like dr seuss?... i write rhymed picture books for a chicago publisher and mentor many aspriing children's book writers, so drop me a line and i'll be happy to help you... i can also send you info on the various meters, poetic forms and construction... love and hugs, maia maia3maia@hotmail.com
