    Kate, did I win?

The rebel commander just jumped off! Along with Arun and Alister.
"Umm...what? so...if there commanders gone...does that mean we win?" Kate stood there scratching her head. "They fell into the water. I guess I should save Arun." Suddenly a jerk, the train had just detached it's self from every thing else and was speeding away quickly. Kate scratched her head again. "had she done it?"

Suddenly, a signal a ship was approaching them. She looked up
"HOPE!" tattered and smoking hope sputtered along, the little ship that could, Kate gasped in proud wonder that Hope still flew.
"You really are a trooper you know that girl?"
    "......"
"Oh just take the compliment." she said hugging the nose of her ship.

    When all else fails... EXPLOSIONS!!

The one thing Indira admired about humans was their capacity for hope. No matter how grim things looked, they always thought they could pull out a win. They were such arrogant creatures. She took great pleasure in crushing the hopes and dreams of humans.

The damned Earthling was atop the train, hugging her spaceship like a lunatic. Indira ignored her. Any distraction was a welcome distraction. She’d been a busy little bee, crawling around on the sides of the train while the others were fighting atop it or swan-diving off of it (or hugging space junk).

Can’t count on them for anything, Indira thought after watching the last of her squad jump into the water down below or get cut off when the rest of the train separated. With a sigh, she pulled a detonator from the pockets of her infiltration suit.

She was still clinging to the outside of the train. There were only two cars left: the engine and a single passenger compartment. She had been all the way to the engine at the front and covertly planted a few ‘toys’ there before making her way to the passenger compartment. She was absolutely sure Smith was inside, but the car was locked down tight.

Since I can’t get in, I guess I’ll have to make him come out, she thought.

Indira squeezed the detonator. A tiny blast went off beneath the train. It was so small, it sounded more like a gunshot than an explosion. Water began spraying out from beneath the train. She’d destroyed the plumbing. There go the automated fire extinguishers, she thought with a devilish grin.

She tossed away that detonator and pulled out another. Now, for the main event…

She squeezed the trigger and there was a massive explosion from the front of the train. The engine made a horrible sound as its internal workings seized up. A huge fireball billowed out from the front as the fuel lines caught fire. Indira began crawling toward the rear, away from the heat. The train shuddered as its emergency brakes came on.

When it lost enough speed, Indira bailed out and tumbled behind some rocks. She crouched where the Earthling's gunship would have difficulty spotting her. Within seconds, she camouflaged herself, becoming the same color as the rocks around her. Then she waited and watched. With the fire gaining intensity and no sprinklers to extinguish it, Smith would have to come out or get cooked inside his own train.

I'll take care of the human girl first, Indira thought, and then I'll deal with whoever comes out. She was all alone against whoever was inside the car with Smith. Common sense told her to back down, but she had too much pride for that.

    Judicators

    Arun

Arun was pulled out of the water by a stronge force. It placed him among the reeds on the shore of the lake and the judicator rolled around, coughing up water. He didn't know how long he was under, but the armor weighing him down had caused him to panic and consequently almost drown. Normally he would've been able to swim out, but the after effects of the gravity bomb he had used against the other dark elf had begun to sink in. He could barely move as he regained his breath, and then another elf was upon him, her gun pointed at his face, finger on the trigger. Arun knew he had to do something, but couldn't. His energy drained so much quicker when using magic in this place, and gravity bombs were especially exhausting. He was as good as dead.

"No? What do mean no? He's dangerous. He's killed hundreds of Rebels. He tried to kill you!" The elf was shouting. Something had stopped her. Could it have been the other dark elf - the one that thought he was a traitor to his own kind? Why would he have stopped the execution?

"Please," Arun said between choking, and he raised his arm slowly to cover his face - it would provide some protection if the elf actually fired on him. "I haven't killed anyone!" That was a lie, but in truth he had only really killed one rebel, and that was through providing cover fire.

    Riley and Kerys

Kate had detached the front of the train, and now the emergency brakes were activated. Everything came to a standstill. The rebels were close.

Riley drew his weapons, the giant shield in one hand and a bastard sword in the other. Then there was a second explosion. It rocked the transport shuttle and the luxurious interior fell completely apart. Tables, chairs, glass, lamps, and decor flew everywhere. Riley fell forward into a moon-stone table, shattering it in half with his weight. Kerys dove and took Smith down to the ground with her. Her armor took the brunt of the debris that flew at them - luckily it wasn't anything heavy. She quickly threw everything aside and assumed a defensive position, SMG in hand. She did a 360 of the room.

They had stopped moving and the interior of the shuttle was on fire. They wouldn't last long in these conditions.

"Get to the controls!" Riley ordered as he found his weapons.

Kerys did as she was told and moved to the front of the shuttle. Everything was mostly in tact, and the map showed that they were very near to their destination. Two more kilometres and they would reach the tunnel that was the entrance to the underground laboratory. If she could somehow jumpstart the controls, she could get them there safely. "Give me a couple of minutes, boss!"

Riley moved in position to cover Smith. It was getting incredibly hot and hazy in the shuttle. Attackers would be hard to spot. He knew that they wouldn't de-rail this carriage - Smith was too valuable, and the rebels wanted him alive. The giant judicator kept his eyes peeled for anything.

"Is anyone out there?" Riley asked in his intercom, "Kate? Danyl? Arun?"

    Kate, roll call!

    "Is anyone out there?"

At the moment of the blast Kate lept onto her ship and sputtered after the train, it wasn't long before she reached the crash site. landing besides smiths train Kate got out and in a cheery voice shouted.

"I'm here!" Kates said in a cheery voice, "Nate sensors are detecting something near by, But it's wearing some sort of cloaking device so I can't pinpoint its location. Why don't we put the target in Hope? She can still fly and will make it to the base in no time! Me and Nate are going to try finding who evers hiding, sensors indicate she due east of us."

Kate and Nate began heading in Indrias direction, slowly cautiously. "Come out and we won't fire! You can't win this fight!" Kate called as she approached. drawing closer to Indria with every step.

    Indira Blue as a zombie...

The Earthling’s battered ship touched down a few feet from the burning train. Dammit, she survived, Indira thought as she watched from behind a cluster of rocks. She thought she saw the human get caught in the blast, but the girl must’ve escaped on her ship at the last second.

Kate and the droid began heading toward Indira, who had no firearms. Her only weapons were a hotknife, a shortblade, and a few small explosives. She’d have to play this smart if she wanted to survive. Ha! That’s the only way I know how to play, Indira thought.

Her face began to change, back to a form Kate knew well. Within seconds, Indira had transformed herself to look like Camilla, the elf Kate had killed. She waited until the human was close before she staggered out from her hiding place.

“Kate… Kate, is that you?” she said, her voice weak. She looked the human in the eyes. Camilla was on the brink of tears. “Why, Kate? Why did you hurt me? I gave my life for you and this is how you repay us, with more death and pain and violence? Whose side are you really on?”

    Kate, war between minds

Kate… Kate, is that you?” she said, her voice weak. She looked the human in the eyes. Camilla was on the brink of tears. “Why, Kate? Why did you hurt me? I gave my life for you and this is how you repay us, with more death and pain and violence? Whose side are you really on?”

Kate blinked, "Wu...what." Kate seemed almost mortiphied by she saw. The dropped her gun, her hands trembling. "You...your dead, I...you" She stumbled over her words her mind trying to piece together how this could be possible. While her human mind went into a flurry of panic, her comp mind already came to a conclusion. This was a mathimatical impossibility, the idea that Camilla being injured would have dragged her self hundreds of miles, to the exsact spot were the train would crash and stop?
"It's not possible...You can't be real." Kate murmured. Her human brain then presented one sutable exsplenation.

"Your a ghost, you must be a ghost!" Kate went pale, even paler than it already was. She wanted to run, but she couldn't take her eyes off her. She felt frozen.

There's something fishy about that ghost...

This was working better than expected. The human girl was paralyzed by emotion. She even dropped her weapon. Indira almost felt bad for her, but the thousands of humoids depending on her far outweighed one human’s grief.

"Your a ghost, you must be a ghost!" Kate exclaimed.

And you must be an idiot, Indira thought. But, on the outside, she showed no such amusement. There was profound sadness in her eyes as she moved over to Kate's ship, Hope. Camilla's ghost ran her fingers along the edges of the ship. She pressed a button and the canopy opened.

“I gave up everything for you, Kate. Now you must give up something in return…” For added effect, she made her skin paler, becoming a ghostly white. She altered the color of her eyes until they became eerily pale as well. Camilla’s ghost lifted her snowy finger and pointed toward Kate.

“Smith…” she said. “He is a monster. I have seen his victims in the afterlife. They cry for justice. Put him in your ship, Kate. Tell your ‘friends’ you are sending him to his destination but, instead, have the ship crash in the water a few miles back. The Rebels will take it from there...”

She had seen Alistair and Kelly jump from the train. If she could get Kate to load Smith onto Hope and ‘accidentally’ have it crash where the others were waiting, Alistair and Kelly would be able to get him. It was such a perfect plan…

Indira climbed into Hope. Within seconds, she camouflaged herself to match the ship's dark interior. It looked as if she had vanished. She squeezed in under the console, where she couldn't be seen. “Hurry, child. Go and bring me that man,” a disembodied voice said. “Do this or I will haunt you until the end of time!”

Only the girl had responded, which meant that Danyl and Arun were either dead or in a fight. He hoped it was the latter.

"Nate sensors are detecting something near by, But it's wearing some sort of cloaking device so I can't pinpoint its location. Why don't we put the target in Hope? She can still fly and will make it to the base in no time! Me and Nate are going to try finding who evers hiding, sensors indicate she due east of us."

Riley had almost forgotten about the Earth girl's ship. That was a brilliant idea.

"Roger that, Kate. Bring Hope to the west side of the train. We'll see that the package is delivered safely."

Before he got a reply, Riley was already handing out orders to Kerys, who was still trying to start the manual controls of the ship. "Change of plan. You see to Smith before starting the controls. Make sure he gets in that ship - I'm going outside." A cloaking device wasn't going to help against infrared vision.

Outside Riley saw Kate, standing in front of her ship, which was open. A heat signature fitting a female humanoid was making its way inside - she was trying to conceal herself. Riley turned on his loudspeaker, "Who is that in the ship!?"

    Nates advice

"Bring Smith...here?" Kate thought of the idea, one part of her wanted to do it for Camilla's sake, but then she would have failed the mission. "Oh well, I work for the rebels anyway." Kate said. "okay I'll do it. huh?"

Kate turned to Nate, she began to act strangely towards the cyborge who was saying nothing. "No way!" Kate exclaimned.
    "...."
    "Really?"
She turned back to Camilla for a moment then back to Nate.
"..." Kate stood there for a long time just stareing at Nate, nodding her head, the cyborge wasn't even looking at her. Camilla seemed annoyed. Finally Kate turned to her and said.

"Nate here says your not a ghost and your not Camilla. Don't ask me how he knows. Nate your certain about this right?"
    "..."
"He says he is certain. So is this true?"

    Desperate, delusional, and dangerous...

"Who is that in the ship?" a voice called out, via loudspeaker. Indira kept her head down. She didn’t have to pop up from her hiding place to know it was a Judicator. She could hear his lumbering footsteps.

Damn Judicators and their infrared vision, Indira thought. She remained perfectly still and said nothing. Maybe he’ll come a little closer. I might be able to take him out at close range.

She was outgunned, but the gloves of her infiltration suit were capable of delivering electrical strikes, like tazers. It ought to work well on that tin can the Judicator was wearing. If she could stun him for a moment, she might be able to get a hold of his gun and even the odds a little. There was no way he was faster than her in all that metal.

Meanwhile, Kate was talking to herself, it seemed. Indira couldn’t see what was going on, but the Earthling seemed to be having a conversation with herself. Just a little further and I will break her, Indira thought.

"No way … Really … Nate here says your not a ghost and your not Camilla. Don't ask me how he knows. Nate your certain about this right?" She paused for a moment. "He says he is certain. So is this true?"

Ugh, not him too, Indira thought. This was going badly. She could only think of one more thing to try. If this didn’t work, she was going to have to get dangerous. In her ghostly voice, Indira said, “my murderer now calls me a liar!? How dare you! I will haunt you for the rest of your days! The blood of hundreds is upon your hands, girl!”

    The ghost ‘vanished.’

Indira lowered her body temperature, the same trick she had used to play dead. Kate’s ship was already slightly warm, just enough to mask her presence. The only downside was that lowering her body temperature meant slowing down her heart rate and breathing, to the point that her body was starved of energy. She felt sluggish and tired, like a bear going into hibernation. It was already difficult to breathe in the thin air, and this wasn’t making things easier on her, but she was determined to capture Smith at all costs.

All Nathan could hear was his own heavy breathing as he dashed down the canyon. The Major’s gunship had dropped him one click south of the train’s location, which had now come to a stop. Not good. Each stride he took covered three wooden crossbeams of the rail and soon the engine and the last coach came into view. In that second he dived down into the gap between the track and the canyon wall ready to survey the situation.

At the closest end of the train a human, an elf and what seemed to be a cyborg, were all deep in conversation, but Nathan was out of ear shot to know what they were talking about. On closer inspect the elf began to turn pale, until her entire body was whiter than snow. And then she disappeared. Interesting. Nathan clawed his way forward silently with one hand moving him and the other holding his M4. He had crawled within a hundred metres of them before a hulking Judicator jumped from the coach, the ground cracking like a volcano as it landed. At least that’s one for our team, the human was a different matter entirely.

”Who is that in the ship?” The Judicator said, aiming a handgun into the cargo bay. Both the judicator and the human were distracted for the time being, giving Nathan the perfect opportunity. With a bit more crawling in the ditch, he was level with the train. Staying low, moved up the gap and entered the train.

    Kerys

Kerys was about to de-activate the protective steel in front of the window on the west side of the train. Smith stood helplessly behind her. He was like a newborn, clutching at its mother, incapable of doing anything for himself. She wished he would speak at least, it would give him something to do, and it would've made her a lot comfortable but the man was in complete shock. She hadn't heard from Arun in a while, and it was beginning to worry her. She hoped he was alright. The flames twisted around the interior of the train, making it difficult to hear anything outside as well, but Riley's voice boomed from a loudspeaker. It seemed someone was in the ship they were going to use to bring Smith to safety.

Then a sound came from the back of the carriage. In tumbled a man Kerys had never seen before, and didn't look particularly friendly with that M4A1 in his hands. The Judicator moved in front of Smith. Her slim frame in that armor was enough to cover the petite scientist, but cover wasn't going to be enough in this situation. She brought her SMG up and aimed at the stranger, finger on the trigger. Why hadn't he shot at them yet?

"Who are you?" She called through her loudspeaker.

    Riley

The heat signature of the person in Hope had suddenly disappeared. He switched the vision in his visor back to normal, but couldn't see anything either. Kate had mentioned something about a ghost - was it possible? No. There were no such things as ghosts. Whatever that thing was, it was smart, and it had clearly tricked the poor Earthling.

"You have five seconds to move!" Riley aimed his hand gun in the positon he had seen it crawl into.

"Five... four... three..." he counted down.

    Kate, childish nonsense

"I didn't call you a liar Nate did. Now look Nate, you hurt her feelings."
    "..."
"How can you continue to deny shes a ghost when she just disappeared!"
    "...."
"Don't bring my mother into this, beside she's your mom too."
Just then the judicator came up to her looking rather weirded out by the earth humans antics. Kate turned to him looking a little scared.
"Um...I think my ship is haunted. I'm a little scared." She skirted behind the Judicator, she didn't show any sign of disdain at the fact he was not human which he must of found intresting. She skirted around the hulking man and poked her head from behind him to peek at the ship.
    "Can...you check for me?"

    Nathan on a heated train

With a bit more crawling in the ditch, he was level with the train. Staying low, moved up the gap and entered the train.

Who are you?” Nathan had expected more protection, but did it have to be a judicator? He quickly sunk behind an over turned table, and shouted towards the armoured behemoth, “The name’s not important. All you need to know is, I’m NCF black ops and I have full clearance.” He scrunched his eyes together and after a long, awkward pause he said, “The ‘package’ is coming with me.” He slowly opened one eye, awaiting the Judicator’s response.

“This silence is killing me, what’s it gonna be?” He slid over to a closer table, the full temperature of the heat making him sweat.

“The name’s not important. All you need to know is, I’m NCF black ops and I have full clearance.” He scrunched his eyes together and after a long, awkward pause he said, “The ‘package’ is coming with me.”

That wasn't a response she was expecting, and she wasn't just about to hand over the entire mission - that's how they failed their last one. The man had ducked behind some cover. If he was truly on their side, why would he need to hide? She kept her gun pointed in his direction and spoke through her intercom to her commanding officer.

    Riley

"...four-" Riley was about to make the shot when Kerys' voice filled his helmet. "Chief, I've got a possible hostile in the shuttle - claims he's NCF black ops."

He kept his eye on the target, his gun raised, but didn't shoot. Something definitely wasn't right about that ship. Riley contacted the NCF base. He told them of the mystery man in the carriage, and was given information that said man had been dispatched as a last resort. Everything was in the clear. Perfect. He then informed Kerys. Now that the escort mission would be completed, he could focus on other things.

The giant judicator turned his head to look at Kate, who was hiding behind him. "Change of plan, girl. I want you to lock up your ship and send it straight back to the base." Riley smiled. Now that thing, whatever it was, was trapped. He would deal with it back at the base.

"You have five seconds to move!" the Judicator demanded in a booming voice.

Indira waited silently. What are you gonna do, blow up the ship? I hope you like walking back to your base, she thought.

"Five... four... three..." the Judicator stopped. More than five seconds passed.

What was going on out there? Indira sat up just enough that she could see over the edge of the spacecraft. In the darkness, she was still difficult to spot. The Judicator wasn’t moving, but he didn’t seem to be paying attention to her either. Maybe he was talking on his radio. Maybe he was calling in an airstrike or reinforcements. Either way, Indira didn’t want to be around when that happened.

She tucked a small explosive under the seat and hopped out on the opposite side, away from Kate and the Judicator. Indira remained there for a while, taking cover. When she peeked out, the Judicator was talking to Kate.

"Change of plan, girl. I want you to lock up your ship and send it straight back to the base."

Indira briefly wondered if Judicators were too dumb to adjust the loudspeakers on their helmets or if they liked talking in big booming voices. Stupid tin man. Stop relaying your plans in all caps, Indira thought as she sprang out.

She raised her hand and emitted a blinding flash of light from her palm. The gloves of her suit could produce an electrical arc as bright as a bolt of lightning. It worked like a flashbang, without the ‘bang.’ While they were blinded, she took off running toward a distant boulder and quickly hid there, while she cooled her body down. The sudden action had warmed her up. She had to stay cool, to evade their infrared sensors.

For added chaos, Indira pulled out a detonator, squeezed the trigger, and hoped for the best.

    Kate, enraged

    *Boom*
a flash then a bang, Kates ship suffered and exsplosion, but Kate was behind the judicator so it didn't do much, she was how ever angry. "Ghosts don't cause exsplosion!" Nate started to scan, there was a flash of heat heading in the opposite direction, and it was cooling down fast.

Kate and Nate charged ahead "Oh no you don't! Nate pulverize it!" Nate began fireing at the energy signature that was fadeing, chargeing forward with blinding speed. Kate dashed after him blinded a little, but following Nates readings. The cyborge quickly closed the gap between them and the fleeing hostile the only question was...what exsactly were they chaseing?

Kery’s eyes were sharpened to the end of the train, alert to any movement. “But sir… no, I understand that… but it’s our VIP!” She sighed, lowering her SMG. “Smith’s all yours.”

Nathan had a quick peak over the table to see the Judicator’s resigned body language. He popped out of his cover with rifle in hand, but lowered. “Hand him over, I’ll take it from here.” The judicator grabbed Smith and shielded him as they ran through the flames, handing him over to Nathan.

The train door flew open and Nathan stood there with a hand on Smith’s shoulder. He threw Smith to the floor, jumped down and picked the mathematician up. And they were off. The pair made their way south along the track, not before Nathan gave the human and other judicator a quick wink and a salute like wave.

“Major, where’s the extraction point?” Nathan shouted down his comms, pushing Smith as they ran through the canyon. The transmission came through, and they were to proceed back to where Nathan had landed – the only open area in the canyon.

"Please," Arun said between choking, and he raised his arm slowly to cover his face - it would provide some protection if the elf actually fired on him. "I haven't killed anyone!"

The sudden burst of adrenline Kelly had been feeling faded, leaving her drained and with a pounding headached. Despite that she continued to keep her gun aimed at the judicators face which he was trying to protect with his arm.
"Alistair...can you move. It's a long trip back to my ship. We should move out immediatly. Especially if we have to drag this prisioner along." She said coldly.

    Arun

The girl still kept the gun on him, but if she hadn't shot by now, then it was probably safe.

"You won't have to drag anyone." Arun coughed and moved slowly into a sitting position. He looked the elf girl straight in the eyes, and saw her clearly for the first time. She wasn't a full elf, that much was clear, but her ears definitely gave off that she had some of the fairer race in her. "And I'm not your prisoner," the judicator said boldly.

    Indira Blue

Indira took cover behind a boulder while Kate and the robot came charging after her. The machine was far faster than the girl. He covered the ground in a matter of seconds. Indira was ready for him. No more hiding. She sent her body into overdrive, commanding the nano-virus to increase adrenaline output, quicken the firing on her neural synapses, and improve circulation to every muscle, pushing her reflexes to the razor edge.

The droid outclassed her in strength, but she was much lighter and faster and had lightning in her fists. His shots ricocheted off the stone. When he was close enough, she sprang out and emitted another blinding flash. Rather than run straight at him, she hooked around the side. Nate spotted her and aimed his weapon, but she flowed around him like water. A half second later, she delivered a lightning-laced palm strike to his face and the robot shuddered as the voltage surged through his servos and processors.

In one swift motion, Indira slapped a magnetic bomb on his back. She clamped her thumb down on the detonator and looked to Kate. “Stop right there, human,” she said, looking Kate dead in the eyes. “If I release this trigger, your friend takes a one way trip to robot hell.”

She stepped away from Nate, who was beginning to recover from the shock. The only thing she hated more than humans were robots pretending to be humans. Indira was a scientist at heart and believed machines truly were the pinnacle of evolution. It was such a shame so many were made in the likeness of an inferior species.

“Don't tempt me. I'd rather not destroy something you can't fix,” she said as Camilla's face transformed and was replaced by the mermaid's. “Go home, human, and I'll do the same. Live to fight another day.”

"I'm alright. just give me a minute." Alistair replied. "And please, put that gun down. I don't think he's going to do anything. You aren't are you boy?" Alistair had seen the conflict in him, he wasn't like the rest of the NCF. "You're not from here are you?" He asked. "Probably called in from another colony to help quell a rebellion, am I right? Well, did you get what you bargained for, was this what you were expecting?" He let an edge creep into his voice. He'd been in the same spot before, ordered to do thing that he didn't want to, forced into service of masters whose ideals he didn't believe.

Kate was shocked by the womens transformation, but after what had just happened Kate got more angry.
"You're a monster! You use people then cast them aside like a beast, Monster!"
ate glared at her with an intense hatred she had never shown before.
"I have a better idea, remove the bomb from Nate and I won't kill you where you stand!"

    welcome to the darkside. mwahahahaha!

"You're a monster! You use people then cast them aside like a beast, Monster!" Kate exclaimed. "I have a better idea, remove the bomb from Nate and I won't kill you where you stand!"

“Monster? Me?” Indira said coyly. “Fair enough, but remember who made me that way.” She nodded to the burning train in the distance, where an NCF soldier was exiting. “I’m a necessary evil. If you want people like me to go away, you can start by getting rid of people like them. I may be a bitter pill, but I’m not going anywhere until the world is free of this human sickness. New Hope needs me. I am the cure!”

She glared at Kate with the same hatred. “So who’s really the monster here? The girl driven into a homicidal rage because her ship got blown up… or the omnicidal visionary fighting for justice?” She laughed. “You’re the villain and you don’t even know it.”

Indira began to slowly back away. “Here’s how we’re going to do this, Kate. The detonator has a thousand yard range. Once I’m that far away, I can’t blow your friend up even if I wanted to. Are you going to do the smart thing and let me leave peacefully… or are you so consumed by hatred you’d turn this into an unnecessary bloodbath? Peace or pieces? What's it going to be?”

    Judicators

    Arun

The dark elf had the brunt of it. "We didn't know who we'd be fighting." Arun said, ashamedly.*

He was then also very aware of the fact that he had disobeyed a direct order. Not just from Riley or the NCF, but from the Erisian Protectorate. He was sent here to do a job, and this was the exact opposite of the orders he was meant to be following.

"I am a judicator of the Erisian Protectorate," he spoke confidently and tried to stand, "we fight for justice, but what I see being done to you is far from it." *

He was digging his grave even deeper, and he knew he should've just finished the job and gone home, but morally he felt bound to these people. This was doing his job. He had managed to stand and raised his arms above his head. "I mean you no harm."

    Riley

Kate and the robot sprinted off after the flash. Riley's infrared had gone out of control and made it even worse. When he regained vision he was on the ground. Everything was spinning. Kerys was at his side.*

"Chief, are you alright?" she asked, trying to help him up.*

He was disoriented, and his eyes hurt like hell, but he was fine. "Smith - what happened?"*

    "He's safe." Kerys confirmed.

"Good! Call in Arun and Dan. We're getting out of here, and hopefully off this damned colony!" He had had enough, and if the NCF had their own black ops, why were they called in in the first place? There was a lot they weren't informed about.

    Danyl

The stupid dwarf had had the nerve to fire the rocket launcher. Danyl had managed to narrowly dodge the missile that was aimed straight for him, but the explosion had knocked him out. There was a great pain in his right arm as he climbed out from the debris of the train that had fallen on him. It was probably broken, but that was a better outcome than what the NCF soldiers had. Death surrounded him - he could make out the five troops that stood with him, but no rebels. Just when it was starting to get fun.

"Dan, Arun, come in." Kerys' voice spoke through his intercom. "VIP is delivered. We're going home."*

Danyl left the carriage as Kerys repeated, "… Arun… Arun?" It appeared their dark elf friend hadn't made it.
