After 6 years working in a gear-shop the impending arrival of twins has necessitated that I grow up and start a real career. Today I accepted a new job, my first real professional gig, as a Grants Coordinator for a local branch of a national non-profit organization. I'm pretty excited (and a little pensive) about the new opportunities and responsibilities. The best part is that I will, in theory, have more spare time on my hands and thus I should be able to get some writing done. It puts my wife and I in a little bit of a tight spot, as her job is almost 2 hours away from mine, but I'm sure things will work out for the best in the end. I guess I'm a totally different type of "Professional Writer" now
Well, first thing first, congrats. Second, twins? You poor, poor thing. Free time will be none existent if they're anything like me and my sister were.
Minstrel, I suppose writing my woes into fiction will have to do. Kay, it won't be so bad. My brother and I are twins as well
good for you, on all counts, kyle!... you're certainly in the 'pro' camp as far as writing goes, now... love and hugs, maia
