    new lines in speech?

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by stewiec, Mar 4, 2018.

    Evening all

I have had my first chapter proof read by a friend and he enjoyed it. He had one critique about it. He suggested i take a new line each time a new person speaks? Is this a good idea or bad idea?

    Thanks

Yes, absolutely normal. It's very confusing to readers when this doesn't happen.
