    Long story. very long story.

But to shorten when we were on the joint ops base in Afghanny the yanky lads had a card saying just that. lol.

I guess you'd have to ask your army mates why. lol

Well, I can make assumptions, but I really dont care to. lol. If amount of alcohol consumable is equivalent to testicular fortitude, then I will be ok. ;) We drink moonshine out my way, if you've ever heard of that stuff :s

Moonshine is home distilled liquor, so called because of the tradition of stills operated in the dead of night deep in the woods, to avoid the attention of "revenoors".

well, its about as pure as ethyl alcohol. Used to be sold illegally during the prohibition days. fun stuff, very potent. Dont care to drink it straight...burns esophagus.

Torana, who are you to get people for off topic? lol. thats like a zebra getting mad at another zebra for having stripes. :p

Yeah, moonshine is made in not the best conditions. It's amazing what some rednecks can do with pvc pipes and duct tape though.

As long as they fraction off the methanol.

But yeah, it's also true rotgut whiskey.

PVC??? Nasty! The plasticizer would get leached out of the pipe, end up in the jug. Better off with the old traditional copper.

Cogito, I know. That is what some of them do. And they suually dont get all the methanol out of it. Thus, blind rednecks. lol. I have seen several distilleries out in eastern Kentucky, a lot of them use copper or whatever metal they can get, but I have seen PVC. And no, I didnt drink it.

The trick is to keep the condenser above 64.7 C (boiling point of methanol) but below 78 C (boiling point of ethanol/water azeotrope). That way the methanol leaves the still as a gas and escapes into the air, but the ethanol drips down into the jug.

I'm going to reach my goal weight (finally) and keep it that way for the rest of the year. I have it all planned out. I will be getting up an hour earlier than usual to get a workout in and come home and take the dogs for a nice long walk (each; I have three). I'm avoiding all fast food, pizza, and restaurants. I eat out a lot, and I'm relatively good with what I put into my body.. it's just those three evils. :D I should drop twenty pounds this year. :)

Good luck everyone with your resolutions! ;)
