Another resolution that I will add is one I am pretty confident I can do. Continue to fall in love with my amazing man, and be thankful and feel lucky for every day that I know him, whether we are 5 cm or 5000 miles apart.
Now that it is well and truly 2019 I can contemplate my plans for the following year; my 2020 vision....
Finish 2 novels, walk 10,000 steps a day, lose weight, eat healthy, oh and take over the world! Spoiler That last one I have less of a clue about achieving compared to the others, which are all quite daunting!
Gotta make yourself a list of steps you feel you need to achieve your goals. Step 1: Buy pickles Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profits!
@flawed personality thanks for the vid. I went ahead and watched the next one too and although I don't have adhd I do struggle a lot at not just keeping routines, but for the simplest routine based things. I hope there's truth in her method. @matwoolf I'm afraid that that book has already been written but wtf? Write it again from your POV. I'm pretty sure that your experience will be more phenomenal. (I've read this book when I was 14. I think it saved my life at the time. Go on and save other institutionalised youth! I mean school). I just want simple things to work out through 2019. Simple as: 1) Wake up most of the days when the sun is already on this side of the hemisphere. 2) I'm going to the gym! Time to admit I need to, before I break. 3) Eat at least 2 meals a day. 4) Sleep every night. 5) Reduce booze. 6) Eat fruit. 7) Quit... q... uh! Quuuuiiiitttt smoking. Like... not smoke anymore. (This is by far the scariest one). 8) Come up with a viable routine. 9) Become a fucking stunt driver! 10) Finish writing the book. 11) Learn how to astral project by will alone. (Oh, the fun I could have)! 12) Go to Cappadocia. That's it I think. For now. Happy new year!!!!
My new year's resolution last year was to finish a book. But alas! I lost my momentum within a few small weeks. But this year, I am in a much better position, thanks to my NaNoWriMo progress. So, I shall make this resolution again. And this time, with more specificity. One, I shall finish Stars Extinguished by November 2019. Two, I shall begin a new book in November, with goal of finishing that book by November 2020. I swear this before the Many-Faced God. May all who question this resolution tremble before his might.
Cappadocia is wonderful, but if you stay at the Paradise Pension, only book one night in the Fairy Chimney room so you can say you did. It's not very comfortable.
@Iain Aschendale I don't mind sacrificing comfort. I was actually thinking about staying in a cave or something if possible. Is this Fairy Chimney room like a room in this weird rocky totem? If yes, then that's what I'm after.
Yup, they call those towers "fairy chimneys", at least for the tourists, and Paradise Pension has one. (note: I've no affiliation to any businesses in Turkey, but I'm not shy about recommending the ones I've patronized.) Last time I stayed there was 2004, but they had clean and comfortable rooms, decent rates, and next to no water pressure in the shower
I tremble before the might of many gods, including some really lame ones, like Wuss, the God of Pansiness. I guess I just like trembling.
1) Get through radiation treatments I need due to a cancerous tumor I had removed below my ear with a positive attitude. It is not too serious and they do the radiation just to make sure they got it all. Six long weeks though. 2) After, take the wife to Orlando for a few weeks. 3) Cut out red meat from my diet. 4) Two week vacation later in the year to Phuket Thailand. 5) Try to make it to at least ten baseball games. I have not gone to a game in 18 years. 6) Vegas for Christmas!
Same as always: To not have any resolutions, since I'll end up breaking them after a month or two weeks.
The usual writing stuff. Be kind. Learn the split before my friend does cos I can't lose this bet. Learn to say no. (To ambitious bets also) Oh and finally get that unassisted handstand down. Or… up, I guess. Pass a practical shooting course and the theory classes in March (I'm so, so nervous already).
