A good Hindu knows that all the amazing number of gods in the religion are all really just facets, small slivers of a greater all encompassing concept called Brahman. Brahman is the everything of everything so it's not really comprehensible all at one time. We relate to it in parts, the gods. Think of it kinda' like in Christianity where the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are understood to be different ways, different faces, different avenues to the same supreme presence. It's like that. :)

Fancy that. I didn't notice before it's a dude-elephant. I wonder if it's got the elephant junk or the human junk...

    Anyhowsies.
I used to have a wombat thing going on on other forums 'cause WOMBATS = AWESOME, but when I came here, I decided that my theme should be me... or me and my hubby, which is more fitting 'cause we do everything write together and all that.

I guess having myself in the avatar keeps me from losing my cool and posting something I couldn't stand behind later. This way I keep reminding myself that whatever I post here is something I can stand behind and believe in (should apply to my writing too). Somebody once told me "you own your words", so I guess my mug attached to my every post kind of reminds me of that adage 'cause I thought that was well said... Even though I think, apart from that, she was a cucking funt.

Having no avatar would probably feel a bit impersonal to me. I do find it easier when people have some theme, like the anime pics in Duchess's avas 'cause that leaves me less confused when the ava changes :p

    Or Florence! :p

I must admit, I've wondered this myself. But then my avatar, what does it say about me? I honestly have no idea, so maybe having no avatar is more comfortable as it is easy to think the avatar you use says something about you.

I've always thought you loved white fluffy dogs...
And I hope you do, because how can you not love them? They are, after all, both white and fluffy!

I picked this painting of Emma Stone off DeviantArt because it resembles the MC I write about most to a T. I've always said, if they turn any of my works into a film, I want Emma Stone to play the lead.

@Komposten Why don't you have a picture of steaming, rotting veggies as your avatar? Maybe with one curious flower growing out of the pile? :D

If you could provide me with a really good picture depicting that I promise I'll use it. ;)

I considered having no avatar for anonymity when we first started out as T.K.Trian, but then we decided we'd be upfront about who we are instead. I've noticed that it does make me a tad more careful about what I say since this way whatever I say, can be linked to me basically forever, so I try to only say things I can stand behind later on as well.
That's not to say that I never say anything stupid, I do, but even then I'm ready / have to admit it was me who said it when it's got my face next to it. Come to think of it, I would've probably said plenty more stupid things if I didn't have @KaTrian as my conscience. :D And since it's been said we share a brain anyway, why not have us both in my avatar?

Come to think of it, even without an ava, I'm much more reserved online than irl because while reasonable arguments can be educational, internet pissing contests are mostly boring. When you have an argument face to face, it's more exciting as the stakes are higher when you're not tucked safely behind a computer screen.

    Agreed on both counts.

@Komposten, just wait 'til we visit my mom's cabin again, we'll get you that picture yet. :D

This is especially true if you look like me (picture Ryan Clark from Demon Hunter, only 6'1" and a little thinner.) It's always amusing to encounter some preppy University grad who wants to debate a subject with me while they are thinking "this guy is a fucking retard," only to blow them away with my intellect.

It's the other way around for me. I'm so goddamn introvert and thus not a very social person. I try to avoid talking to people as much as possible (unless, of course, family and friends). Online, however, it feels much easier to talk and discuss with random people (and less random people as well).
The only problem with online chatting is that it's not that easy to be sarcastic...

I'll be waiting, be sure of that. And don't you forget that "curious flower growing out of the pile"!

Thanks, I think. :p Lol! Even possible-future-ava's have manga-ish art to them. It's just something I like. I love my current ava, though, I think it's very very pretty, so I'll probably keep it for a while/keep it, change it, then change it back.
