One of my friends pointed me at this site to get advice on publishing stuff, but I'm really enjoying the community here, so I'll probably not just leech off of the good advice and actually try to contribute some. Hi, @Myrrdoch! I've already seen you taking part in other threads - hope you keep it up! (And are you going to explain your user name at some point? I'm curious...) What kind of stuff do you write?
Oh, that old thing? It's the name of a character I had back in the day, and I started using it as my netpresence name (gamer tags, that sort of thing). It's distinctive, if nothing else. And it'll always remind me to be careful of what I wish for. (Why is there no 'mysterious wink promising further exposition' emoji?) As far as what I write, as of now it's primarily scifi/fantasy. I just finished my first novel (military sf), and am working on its sequel, while trying to find time to also work on a cyberpunk novel and this fantasy thing that I've had bouncing around for a while, too. Gonna try to get some short works published while I shop for agents. Or while agents shop for me. However that is supposed to work.
