I passed my driving test, and am thus getting a license as of october 24. It's been tough, but I finally learned, and also broke a well. It's really funny, because I was not under the impression that if I let go of the brake, the car would keep on rolling [silly brakes, not stopping when I tell them to.] And so I did that, got out of the car, completely oblivious to the fact that the car was still ... moving. And it ran over a well. Oops. Anyway. All residents of Illinois: Beware. Especially you, Spider. Because if I kill you, then I possibly wouldn't be able to charm you all with my presence here. That is all.
Oh, dear. Not to fret, I live nowhere near you, and I don't see a trip to chicago in the near future. Just ... beware whilst outside of that silly city. And besides, the sears tower will probably fall on you before I get a chance to do some mauling in that area. Like I said, not to fret.
More muggy than anything, but I think I've gotten used to it. It feels a bit like the south. Not sure how long I'll stay here...
It's kinda muggy everywhere. It's even muggier in the south ... but it's ok. In the south you can drink sweet tea to quell your discomfort.
By 'everywhere' you mean in Illinois? Cali wasn't muggy... though that might have been due to the drought thing we were having. 9 or so inches of rain a year, but I can't remember the last time I saw dark clouds.
I somewhat mean illinois ... but I haven't found any sweet tea in a while. But the micky-dee's in alton has sweet tea .... so that's extrememly beast. *Sigh* I enjoy how I can turn any topic into belly buttons, leg hair, or sweet tea.
Chicago isn't all that windy, in the usual meaning. The name "Windy City" has to do more with Chicago politics than with weather. Back to the topic - congrats on the driving test, SnipSnap - I'll consider myself warned to avoid Illinois for a while.
Congrats on passing your test SnipSnap, did the driving instructer not see you run over the well?? it is scary to think that i will be driving in only 2 and a half years. it is even scarier to think that Nick will be driving in only 2 weeks. :O
owww, i feel tiny all of a sudden. i was thinking about it the other day and i always think about driving a car being for big boys (like my dad ) and in about two years I'll be doing it.
I drove home for the first time yesterday! I went through an intersection during peak hour traffic! Parked (if that's what you call it, lul) in my driveway too! lewl. I'm so proud, not bad considering it was my second driving lesson.
After walking around in two of China's biggest cities. I have nothing to fear from your driving. I've been forced developed eyes in the back, and sides of my head to avoid getting run over. So when I finally head back to North America, I won't be worried in the least. Congrats on passing.
Never been. But I wouldn't count on it. There are a lot more people in China to make up for any lack of insanity they may possess in comparison to Italy.
Ah crapola, I didn't even realise the original topic of this thread! lol, sorry snipsnap. Congradulations on passing your test! *eoz claps- too much- snipsnap covers ears*
Well done! Was it a bit freaky when drivign around by yourself? I felt like I was goign to get in trouble when I was finally allowed to drive on my own. But well done!
Lol, thank you. Especially cogito for getting us back on a topic that wasn't really on topic anyway And yes, it's a bit scurry all by myself ... so I generally sing along w/ the music [the radio doesn't work, and something is wrong w/ the cd player, so there is a beyonce cd stuck in there, so I'm stuck driving with her at present.]
Sorry for the belated Congratulations SnipSnap. I do hope that you have not run down too many pedestrians before I had the chance to congratulate you. Leave your road rage in the garage!!!
I ... burnt our garage down last year, and we never got around to building a new one ... So I keep my road rage in the microwave.
