The novel I'm currently writing is fairly long. Originally, I planned a sequel, but the rule is to write the first as a stand alone and then write the second. If I make it all one, the word count is going to be astronomical in terms of a first manuscript, but where I have the 'first' ending, it can't be a stand alone. Any thoughts/advice on this?
I'm trying to find the thread but we just discussed this recently with someone else's work. Not that you shouldn't have started a new thread mind you, because each discussion is really about a different WIP.
Oh, thank goodness! I thought maybe I'd done something like this already, so I read through everything I'd posted and looked at which threads I'd responded to, just to make sure!
