One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by Lemex, Jan 29, 2012.

    Has anyone else read this?

I'm reading it for a second time in a few months, and it's maybe one of my favourite books. It won the Nobel Prize for Literature for it's portrayal of life in a Soviet Forced Labour camp.

I've read it, though it was a few years ago. It's the only book by Solzhenitsyn I've read.

It's on my to read list. Seems like it would be depressing though given the subject matter. So I'd have to be in the right mood before I'd pick it up.
