    Oral histories of the holocaust

Didn't seem like this belonged in 'Entertainment'. I'm watching oral histories on CSPAN. These are incredible memoirs.

With the current refugee catastrophe in the EU I look out my window at my so normal neighborhood and wonder what it would be like if the world around me collapsed into the chaos of war.

Here's the one I just watched:
Gerda Weissmann Klein Oral History Interview
It's an hour long, free to watch online, well worth one's time.

On a related note, some of the most memorable books I've ever read have been Holocaust memoirs. Such memoirs really are incredible.
