my intent? lol. just because she said she wants to die doesn't mean I want her killed off. I think this will be a test of Thum's character. Also... that damn snake!
Wow, I really like the character struggle from Magnafire. It adds new depth. And yes, the damn snake! I tend to like reoccurring enemies, especially when they get stronger each time.
The Cs sheet for Erif Angam Name: Erif Angam, First Edge Age: over 700,000 years old Gender: Male Appearance: Currently Magnafire's. In his true form, he is like an undead being, with flesh hanging from muscle, bones portruding the surface, his teeth are black, he has no hair. He wears stone plate armour, that has since worn over time but even so it remains near impervious. It's a lot more resitant that Magnafire's armour. Personality: Calm, calculating and volatile. He's a strong leader but is driven by greed. History: He is the First Edge of the Edge Legion, he led them in the Fang War, in which the Edge Empire was born. However, the Serpentine fought back with a vegeance and slaughtered every Edgewalker. Unaware that the Edge would become immortal after a unknown ritual was performed as the Edge God was sacrificed. Powers/Equiptment: Erif wields the stone blade Provenance Edge, a large blade and filled with all manner of knowledge. His immmortality grants him significant strength, and resilience but even so he can be hindered. He currently occupies the body of Magnafire. In Magnafire's body he is restrained a little. I ain't going to reveal much more.
Greywind Raven-Ryder Name: Greywind Raven-Ryder Age: 25 Gender: Male Appearance: Greywind is fair skinned with dark eyes straight dark hair that comes below his jaw. He wears a grey tunic, leather belt and a small satchel that is slung over one shoulder by a wide leather strap that crosses his chest. Personality: Greywind is reserved, thoughtful and somewhat stoic. Surviving a life of hardship in his home world he has a deep concern for the needy and vulnerable. The powers he has discovered in himself make him feel even more obligated to do what is right and support justice for his fellows. History: Orphaned at a young age Greywind walked his home world without identity. More importantly without his true Tol-ha, or soul bound totem creature from which his people derive their powers, until late in his life. Upon discovering Raef, his Tol-ha raven, he found himself in a personal struggle over the revelation of this unappealing, dark side of his own nature. He was recently summoned by Magnalian to aid him in espionage and warn him of the encroaching seekers of the Orb. Powers/Equiptment: Greywind's weapons of choice are a staff and a pair of fighting knives. Greywind and Raef share their sight and the ability to shift into the 'etherverse', a parallel existence where the physical and magical are reversed. While in the etherverse Greywind becomes a ghost-like vapor in the real world and is nearly immune to the physical but direct magical interactions have a much stronger effect. Shifting allows him to travel rapidly in a teleport like fashion and to see others as truer representations of their nature and powers instead of just their physical appearance. Raef and the etherverse allow him greater powers than these but they will be revealed later. Name: Raef Age: presumably 25 Appearance: Raef is a Tol-Ha raven, a creature that carries the soul of its master. Raef's size ranges from that of a large raven to a raven like bird larger than a horse. as his size increases he also becomes more fierce, serrated beak, clawed wrists on his wings, etc. Personality: Raef represents the uninhibited essence of Greywind, he is curious, impulsive, and at times volatile. History: Raef was given to Greywind by the 'Great Prophet'. At the time Greywind believed another creature to be his Tol-ha and rejected the bird. Raef stalked and attacked Greywind for his betrayal until peace was finally made between them. Powers/Equiptment: Raef can shift into the etherverse as can Greywind, with all the advantages and disadvantages. His powers are more powerful than Greywind's because they are Greywind's source, however, Raef uses them less effectively because of his animal nature. Greywind is not a NPC. I have been jealous of all the fun you are having and decided to join with my own character
My bad, so sorry for assuming and also glad she is sticking around. You are the only source of DPS. Faramar and Pyree are almost unarmed compared to Eslana, Thum, and Igor. Sweet! LostHawken will join the fray. Time for some real action. Not that armies, grenades, huge swords, giant snakes, dragon slaying, lightning blasts, and psychic javelins don't count as action... nevermind. Let the real action continue. P.S. Don't you guys hate it when you show up to work and they send you home because the truck didn't show up. /sigh
I did kind of take privileges by moving Eslana. I hope its ok... The game went almost 24 hours without a post. That's a new record I think, where is everyone? Oh, and I have a problem with Comma's. They appear in randomly in wrong places in my writing and are missing in other places they should be. If you see any comma errors be sure to point them out to me; I'm also trying to break my addiction to the semi-colon... wait, oh crap, I did it again...
If its not too late, Greywind's little speech was intended for Faramar, Pyree and Eslana. But Thum may have overheard it.
I'm only waiting for someone else to continue the battle with the snake. I don't think I should post for Atlas again so soon without letting others get something in. Also, I know exactly what you mean. I also have the comma/semi-colon problem. On another note, the most recent post via Greywind was excellent! If the best writing receives the orb, I think we already have a winner.
I liked your post a lot losthawken. And on my part I'm sorry, I've been really busy with music practice, I had a concert today and have another one tomorrow.
Don't worry guys, I didn't mean to complain or imply that there were not enough posts. Quite the opposite really, this game has one of the highest post rates of all time! Take your time, I always say, 'life comes first!'.
I can't double post is my reason, and I like your post Losthawken, Greywind no doubt has a ace up the sleeve
I don't know about everyone else, but I'm on my 3rd re-write of a short story for the sci-fi contest. Its taking up most of my writing time. Otherwise, I love this game. I will have to venture out to another game. BTW, anyone have little free time and interested in doing a private review prior to the 20th? Knowledge of Chaos theory a plus! Lol. Just send me a PM.
Uh, naturemage... Greywind isn't a NPC he's my character... I'm going to assume that the character controlling was retaliation for my moving Eslana, and for the psychic abuse she received earlier. Sorry about my part in that. I won't be so impulsive in the future, but please don't control him. Lets all be sure to PM about anything we want to do with or to another character. It is an interesting direction to take Eslana though, I like her dedication. How are you going to fix the sword? I'm also interested to see Faramar and Pyree's reactions to all of this I've got a plan to get Faramar a temporary replacement sword that could provide an interesting twist later.
I like the rising player conflicts. I was afraid they would never happen! Eslana seems very dedicated, but that dedication also seems to make her short-sighted in some ways. She's an interesting character. Thum seems to put honor and glory above mercy, and dislikes people who think otherwise. Just as interesting. Good job guys! I hope either Backbiter or RusticOnion get to posting soon. I'm itching to continue the battle.
