Any Ideas on how to kill the javelganger? I thought about somehow uncovering the key bot in his system then taking that out, therefore unraveling the creature itself, but I am unsure about where to look. I've already blinded him and hidden Dras so that gives her some observeing time. I'm open to suggestions
After reading the description of the Javelganger and Dras' powers/equipment set, Dras might have to rely on her wits for this one. The Javelganger has a layer of nanobot armour. Without much magic, it probably can't be pierced by steel/silver weapons at all. Perhaps she could find some sort of flaw in the armour she could exploit? Or maybe she'll have to turn it's own weapons (the extendable rods) against it? Just my thoughts.
I figured as much, hmmmm.... where would you think it's most critcal spot would be? Neck? Underarm? Inguinal region? Someplace where he will be dead or severly comprimised.
Well that's ultimately up to you, since it's your battle. But if I were fighting the thing, I'd make its joints the weak spots. To make flexible joints, the armour would also have to be somewhat flexible as well, usually meaning it won't be as hardened as armour in non-moving areas. Of course, Dras would still have to hit pretty hard to get through the weaker armour.
@CheddarCheese: Thanks for the input, considering i'm still kind of new to writing this kind of thing. Now to the Rough Draft! *William Tell overture sounds and she gallops away*
Been busy the last day or two, but I'll catch up tonight. You guys are doing great! @TheMagnan be sure to vote!!!!!!
Hahahahaha me too. Work is so cray-cray right now. I'm busy planning away at the golem/animorph's next move, as well as Pyree's discovery of its weakness. I'd love to do a little teamwork fun to spice things up while losthawken is busy. I'm imagining a sort of accidental help type scenario in which the mutual opponents collide providing opportunities for both parties. I'm going to be using the flanking maneuver that the beetles are fond of to hide the opponent's line of sight. Assuming it can still sense Pyree's presence without eyes, the golem will launch itself into a nearby column or wall. If anyone is interested, it could be a nearby enemy as well. (sorry, flying guys I don't have much in terms of vertical engagement) Pyree hasn't specifically noted/described any of the other monsters in the field, so she is free to draw on additional opponents without seeming too non sequitur. And if you flyers want to join in, (I just decided randomly) a vice versa collision would work just fine, as long as it falls/strikes right when the golem is using its landslide move (not that you'd need to include that part, Pyree would obviously respond to the smashing into the ground action with her own perspective on the fortunate timing) Anyway, blah. I should be typing up my post instead of writing this post. Yay. P.S. Working tomorrow (back 5-6ish -8 GMT)
From what you've said, not too much to add. Looks solid, feasible, and most importantly, fun. Sadly, Sydrian's still unconscious in the woods for the time being. I'll have the orb shock him awake or something, get back into this during the next few days during vacation. Quick question: Is the colosseum sealed from the outside, I.e. Sydrian's can get in easily (escaping, of course, not as easy...)?
I thought about how Dras's native tongue my cause some of you confusion when I type that way. So I will provide a website that offers translation abilities: http://www.grey-company.org/Maerdyn/resources/translator/ It should help
@JPGriffin: I'm not quite sure: it hasn't been mentioned if the arena was sealed or not. That said, I did have Atlas get in through a set of large doors. @Morvane: That's some pretty neat stuff. I thought it would be a little strange if everyone only spoke English. I might be getting a post up tomorrow. I've been collaborating with GaleSkies on possible ways to make things more interesting, and I'll have to wait for a reply before getting something in. Things are looking good!
Great post Morvane! So what are we going to do about the vote? I was not expecting a tied vote... Should we re-vote, give the GM the deciding vote, keep fighting for infinity?? Is there some way to share the success? I'm thinking, but what are your ideas?
Perhaps the two who are tied could post descriptions of what their world is like, and we do a re-vote between the two of them, to see which world we'd like to go to more, so long as they are both ok with it. I wouldn't want hurt feelings because someone thought their world wasn't interesting enough. I would think that'd be the best way to go. Edit: did everyone in Orb vote? Perhaps try to get the lagging players to vote would help to break the tie. If that doesn't work, then try above strategy.
Got my post up, and threw a post in for Kitza, but it's short. And losthawken, sorry I took over Magnalian for a bit. From reading his other posts, it seemed like something he would do. In addition, I just wanted to know if anyone was against Kitza killing Magnalian in the end, even though someone else gets the Orb. I want to sort of "upgrade" Kitza, and give it more powers, make it a bit more intelligent (so I can stop with the "eye-lookers" and "mind-read" stuff). Let me have your thoughts.
I'm looking forward to jumping into the story when it restarts. Out of curiosity...is it going to be like a new story? Or a brand new chapter? What will be the goal of the next section? Are we still all going to go after the Orb or will that be more of a sideline to a new plot?
Well, what should happen (assuming I'm not mistaken), is that whoever claims the orb will be instantly transported to their home world. All portals lead to the Orb, so then it's a scramble to find the nearest portal. That should give the new holder the time they need to set up defenses, establish a bit of a story back at their own world. Same goal, but this time new characters can come in on even footing, and assuming that characters survive (Kitza, I have my doubts about, and a few others too...) they should logically have all the experience of the previous dimension (world, planet, whatever term you prefer) in their quest for the orb in its new home. Feel free to correct me, but that's my best guess. For the vote, I'd suggest eliminating anyone that didn't tie, cut it to the two finalists, and having a second vote between the two. Beyond that, the worlds will be a factor for future games, so they have to be considered when casting a vote.
This should be interesting, well if Magnafire got the orb, you would most likely end up in the Celestial desert, Wasteland or perhaps Darne. Hmm, its a difficult choice to make. I voted by the way. Also my post will come soon.
Okay, so this giant dragon just burns the vines away, and Eslana lands on it. Where is it headed, to the ground to join the fight? When it lands, does it disappear?
Not the best idea I have thought up I admit, and as for the dragon that is up to you, once its rescued you and puts you on the ground, it can do what it likes. It is unbound.
Alrighty, lets do this then. I'll set up a new poll between Galeskies and Magnan. Each of their votes will cancel and so they don't need to vote, but everyone else does and needs to do so QUICKLY! In the event we get another tie, I'm just going to make an executive decision. Deal? I'd like to have this decided by tomorrow if at all possible. Its time for us to start planning the finale. @naturemage - Are you going to continue the events between Kitza and Magnalian or do I need to jump in?
Feel free losthawken. If you would like to do something with Magnalian, go right ahead. Still waiting to hear from everyone else to see if Kitza is allowed to kill him or not (but still give the orb to whoever wins the poll)
I think my vote would be against Kitza killing Magnalian. It just seems kind of anti-climactic to have such an (as yet) undeveloped character get the glory of killing Magnalian when there are a lot of other characters out there that have a more developed motivation. Also, I'm undecided as to whether I want Magnalian around in the next chapter. Depending on how things shake out we might need some villainous competition for the Orb. That's not to say they couldn't duke it out.
Yeah, I was thinking that it might be problematic without a villain or two. With both Igor and Thum gone, everyone's kind of "good" more or less. IMO, I think Magnalian should stick around for a bit.
