Wow, I really like the multitudes of conflict going on here: Eslana & Faramar's intelligent "troll", and the swarm of bug-like creatures that Pyree has encountered. And a very good post by GaleSkies; I liked the use of the gravity device. How many teleportation strings does Pyree have left? Can she recharge them?
I'm a fan of the intelligent troll as well. As I was reading the narration I just knew, somethings not right here... naturemage is going to do something but I just can't guess what. I haven't decided on the number of threads used, in her next post she'll an inventory take inventory. And no, she can't refill them, without the proper technology.
Speaking of which Naturemage gave me an idea, I've sent the pm but naturemage isn't on at the minute so one will have to be patient.
I'm liking all the new developments, well done everybody! Magnan, I'm just curious about Magnafire's "Edgewalking". Is it all in his head or does he physically travel? Is he still standing right there next to Riley, Atlas, and Thatratar? I'll try to get a new post up later tonight.
Interesting. I hadn't thought about the possible conflict that Magnafire's bond with dragons would bring about. PM me if you want Atlas to say/do anything. I'll look forward to the post.
He's still phsically there, as Blade Edge temporally takes over, his own spiritual form edgewalks. Until he is yoinked back. As this develops, the more magnafire explores his ancient powers, the closer he gets to his destiny.
I won't be able to get a post up today, at least for the next 4 or 5 hours. I'm still waiting on some confirmations too, but it seems to me like everyone is finally going to meet up! (I tried to post this before, but I didn't actually notice I was posting in the actual game... I don't know if I have the power to remove posts, but I'm really sorry about that!)
Only Mods can delete posts. I took care of it for you. Even though I haven't been posting this weekend I've been keeping up on the reading and man, you guys are amazing. Not only are you writing very well, but you are working together and self-moderating wonderfully. You don't even need me! Someone asked a question a while back about killing off your own character. Yes that is allowed, the game is about exploring character development and sometimes a character just doesn't work for you and its best to start over. I plan to kill Magnalian as soon as I can, I started the game before I came up with a character and he is one of my least favorite attempts at a character... I'm not great at villians. I'm throwing out the whole idea of having your characters compete directely. You guys work too well together to put you at odds like that. Also, in the beginning I figured that out of the 5-6 players I was expecting one or two would stand out among the rest. But you are ALL amazing! I'm going to have to take nominations/poll to decide the Orb winner. In the meantime would you guys like some help in plot exposition? I can have you meet up with some local peasants that will give you enough information to go after Magnalian. How much more time do you need/want before the final showdown and the next chapter begins? After someone snags the Orb from Magnalian they will be warped back to their own planet, leaving everyone else stranded on Magnalian's world to find new portals which will lead to the dimension in which the Orb resides (although your characters won't exactly know where the portals will lead). From there the process starts over.
Hi losthawken, Concerning Atlas, Riley, and Magnafire, I was thinking we might get that information off of Thatratar (whenever Exclusive is ready to write), although if it drags on too long, an intervention would be nice. I'm not sure what the others would prefer.
Thank you for the compliments, Hawken! I have to say that your writing has been excellent as well. I actually like Magnalian, he's a decent character in his own right. I was the one that brought up killing off my own character, but I'm still undecided on if I'll do that at all. It's still up in the air. I like the idea of having voting or nominations for the winners, I think that'll work pretty well. As for moving the plot along, I believe that my group at least (Cheddar, Magnan, Exclusive, and I) were going to get some more information from Thatratar, being as he is "all-knowing". Not sure if that works or not. I feel like we should wait a little bit longer before moving on to the next "chapter", seeing as the group I'm in hasn't encountered the jungle yet. Just my opinion, of course; I'm not sure what everyone else's views are. I'm sorry for my own lack of activity, and I'll do my best to get a post up later today.
Thum and Igor are going to head in too the jungle soon so theres a chance they'll run into the others.
Hmm I don't know how you'd fix it. It was your choice to take the damage. Is there no technology on his home world to fix the sword or maybe reforge it if you get the orb and return home. In the meantime maybe you could find a "small" side arm on the dead troll that looks like full sized human weapon.
If by chance Adrealil you run across Magnafire, he could help,he forged Blade Edge out of sand shaping it with his will. A combination of stone, and metal makes up his sword. Im unsure of what he could do, but he could use his power to reforge the blade, melt them back together. But you would have to come across him at some point.
double post sorry, but once once orb holder goes back to thier world does it mean everyone else needs to find the portal to get there. Would we need to describe our worlds setting, the bit where we end up. If thats the case it could be put here.
Hey, no problem! Turns out it will be a valuable opportunity for Faramar to meet someone new It isn't all that bad, and I guess one of us will be able to fix it eventually, maybe the one who gets the orb? This can give my character a motive even bigger for wanting the orb!
Eslana is outside of the jungle, close to our village. Faramar has parted for now but he asked for Eslana to wait, so we'll probably wait with her. Maybe.
I can pretty much gurantee if you stumble upon magnafire he will have a temporary fix, although knowing him he may accidently bound it to you through sentient link. Also everything that has happened is really help me explor Magnafire's ancient power. He is stepping inexorably to Erif Angam. Erif Angam is dormant inside Magnafire the ways to awaken him are - Kill the Magnafire (Too early for that) or have Magnafire be forced to explore his ancient powers. Erif is also tainted and his awakening will cause the undead Edge legion to return.... and at the minute they only want one thing and that is to destroy the Serpentine. One final thing, Magnafire is afriad of Snakes (Well the Serpentine ) if that massive snake appears he'll actually be scared.
I just PMed him a reminder, I'm sure he will get it up soon. He also should provide some information as to how/why his character got through the portal. Again great posting everyone! I'm thinking of some ways to spice things up but keep moving toward the Jungle and Magnalian's laboratory.
