Chaos turns around to see Ambriel. "Well I guess you've finally snapped back to reality. Look I need you to tell me all you can about Gregor and Dr. Francine. I think one of them knows why the military came to end the riot. They also might have some information on what the inivestigation that is going on in this asylum is about." says Chaos.
Gregor leaned heavily on his cane and walked into the hallway. "I know Klesps, but this concerns everyone. Is it fair to leave him out of the loop. Oh if you are scared, just stay behind me. No ... I won't tell anyone." Handel pulled out the master key and opened Mortimer's door. The patient was still restrained. Gregor positioned himself so Mortimer could see im. "Hello Mortimer. We have to talk."
"Hello Mortimer. We have to talk." Mortimer's eyes looked back and forth quickly, trying to find where the voice came from. He saw an older man, supported by a cane walk up to him. He tried to shift his weight, but in vain. "Who the f*** are you doc? Jesus Mortimer, let me outta this sh*t! I'll punish all of you when I can, you'll see, you'll all f***ing die," mumbled Mortimer, looking away from the gentlemen before him.
Ambriel couldn't believe it...Niel was on the same page, though his reasons were probably a bit different, he was still wanting to get in fo on the going ons in the hospital. "I don't know much myself, Niel...except what you already know." But I have an idea on how we can find out...are you game to help me?...Think about it before you answer to quick, it might get dangerous...I want you to know that right up front." She looked into Niel's face...she could see she was clearly talking to Chaos.
Gregor smiled. "Yes, I want to let you out, but we need to talk first. Will you talk to me? There are people than need to be punished and I need your help. WIll you help me punish the people?"
"Yes, I want to let you out, but we need to talk first. Will you talk to me? There are people than need to be punished and I need your help. WIll you help me punish the people?" The words seemed to intoxicate Mortimer. He thought of everyone he hated in this place, and this man would help him. Life as the messiah wasn't easy, but even if he didn't like the fellow overall, he would play along. "Yeah, doc, I'll bite. What th' f*** you need?"
Gregor silently thanked Klesps for making him go to SUnday school. "Are you the messiah, or do we need to seek another?"
"Are you the messiah, or do we need to seek another?" Mortimer laughed, what a stupid question. He giggled for a minute or two, then controlled himself so he could talk. "What kinda f***in' question is that doc? Of course I'm the messiah! Do you not see how I suffer? Soon, my time will come. I'll save this planet and all the miserable sh*t on it!"
"If it leads us to more information on Gregor and that detective then I'll gladly help. Oh, and I hope you remembered what I told you earlier about not letting your guard down around Gregor. He may be insane but he is also incredible smart and he is a master manipulater. Hell, he caused a riot just to get the chance to "cure" that orderly." says Chaos.
"I thought you were my Lord, but I had to ask. I am .... weak. My leg is a ruin. My friend Klesps, though he can fly, isn't much better than I am. We need someone who can smite those who would damn the Earth. The military man and his soldiers. If they aren't stopped, they will kill everyone in here and then who will you smite? Who will you save?"
She passed two faces she didn't recognize in the hall, and made a mental note to meet them when she got the chance. She wouldn't do it now, though, unless one of them spoke first, because they seemed busy. "Dr." Gregor Handel was speaking with Mortimer, and she felt the trembling fear of Olena, although she herself wasn't afraid. She kept walking, taking in everything she heard or saw to try and piece together the puzzle of the exact happenings.
Ambriel took Niel by the hand. "Follow me." She knew it wasn't safe to talk in the hall. Of from the playroom was an abandoned storage room...Ambriel had found it once when she was hiding form Jerod. The space big enough to hold a small house of furniture. "Okay, this is what I have been thinking...when Francine leaves, if she leaves"....she looked at her watch..."which hopefully will be soon, because it is getting late...then we will break into her office." Ambriel wondered why Francine had come back anyway...she was doing a lot of strange things these days. Ambriel was sure she had never seen Chaos smile so bright in the time she had known him. "There is one catch...we are going to need Gregor's help." Chaos immediatly turned red in the face...before he could protest she said..."I know, I know....but, listen...he has keys I think." She bit her lip and waited for a response.
"Fine." says Chaos in a harsh tone, "I guess it will be easier to keep an eye on him if he is with us but don't give him any info you find unless he directly asks for it. The less he knows the better it will be for all of us." Chaos hears Niel say in the back of his head "Are we really going to be working with that psycho?" "We don't have much of a choice now do we but if he tries anything I will hurt him." thinks Chaos.
Mortimer was staring at Gregor clearly thinking about the "doctor's" questions. Handel smiled, "I will be back later , my Lord, for your answers. YEs, Klesps, I think bowing would be appropriate." After a deep bow and making the sign of the cross Gregor left.
A man knocked on Larnor's door. Apparently Larnor had locked himself in his room, because he was mad about the counseling session. After Larnor unlocked the room, the man quickly stepped in. Why did you come in here, and why did you knock fifteen times? Well, I am here to get a urine sample, replied the man. "Francine insists that everybody have one." As to the second question, I do not really see how it matters how many times I knock on your door. "Step out of my room and knock on that door once more." Larnor frowned as he saw the man holding a cup. "I'm not doing any tests until you knock on that door once more." The man stepped outside and knocked once on the door. Stepping in, he asked Larnor to now listen to him. Five minutes later the man left with the half-full cup in his hand. Larnor was still confused as to why he had to participate. Do they think I have some disease or something? What is wrong with me? Perplexed and angry, Larnor walked out of his room and went back to the game room. Seeing the pool table empty, he was just about ready to play pool when his counselor saw him. "Larnor, can you follow me back to the counseling room. I will not speak about odd numbers, I promise. I just want to know some of your background and why you are here." "You better not by lying." Larnor turned around from the pool table and followed his counselor back to the room.
Ambriel knew that Niel wasn't going to be happy with her idea, but she also knew that her choices were limited. "Look, I don't trust that guy anymore than you do...but, until we can find out for sure he is the only help we have." She looked at Chaos who was seething with rage. "Okay, I promise you Chaos...if he doesn't ask for it, he doesn't get it" Ambriel whipped away a drop of sweat from her brow. "Okay, meet me at my room in an hour...I have to go find Gregor." She hoped the Niel would show up...but, somehow knew that Chaos would be needed most. He had an eye for trouble and wasn't afraid of a fight. The two walked slowly back to their hall...Chaos watched as she made her way, safely inside of her room. She was relieved...the night was underway, there was no stopping it.
Gregor sat in usual chair playing cards with Klesps. "So we are agreed? Good, I'll ask Ambriel the first chance I get. Now would you mind dealing?"
"Good evening Dr. Handel," she said as she walked past the table. "Dr. Klesps." She nodded to his friend.
She felt as though she shouldn't, because she was trying to help everyone, but she couldn't resist. "Yes," she replied, "I would love a game of cards." And so she sat down next to Klesps.
Mortimer sat breathing heavily in his chair. For the first time in his life, he was truly acknowledged for who he was. His happiness swelled up within him as he realized he had a first possible disciple. He thought over Dr. Handel's question very thoroughly. He knew he would only want to save few, but decided that a few exceptions could be made.
Gregor dealt the cards. "What was that Klesps? Oh you can ask, I'm sure. That is a mighty convienent sore throat you have. Fine, I'll ask." Gregor moved his cane so no one tripped over it and looked at the yung lady. "My friend Dr. Klesps wanted to know, who we are playing cards with today?"
She debated with herself a moment, whether to give Olena's name, Vira's name or - heaven forbid - her own name. There was a strange feel to the air, and the cards before her were smooth and old - the perfect cards to utter one's name in front of. "Chloris."
"What? Oh Klesps, yes I'll tell her. Klesps says Chloris is a beautiful name. Oh Klesps no, not the after shave again! Please, I think my sinuses are burning out. So Chloris, I know you like to help people, would you mind helping me?"
"For the last time," I said that my terrifying nightmares started about four years ago. Larnor, tried to remain calm, but his counselor's words were getting to him. "Larnor, just a minute ago you said that your severe nightmares began six years ago." "Nevermind, just average the two dates and you will come up with the true answer!" Larnor leaned back on his chair. "Whatever you do, don't say anything about your conclusion to me." "I understand Larnor." The counselor's eyes lit up, and he spoke again. "Now Larnor, if your not too afraid, can you tell me what exactly you see in your nightmares?" "I see...I see... Aliens." "What are they doing?" "They are coming closer, closer. I can feel them. They are here!"
