Gregor nodded as if listening to Klesps. "Ambriel can we agree that John knows much more about what's happening here than he should? Good. Might we then agree that since John and I know each other I might know more than I am saying?" AMbriel nodded again. Gregor continued. "Excellent. Since John clearly has military muscle backing him, might we also assume that I have military ties?" The former head nurse nodded again. "Then trust me when I say there are more things in this universe than you might first assume. Tell me, did you get that thing I asked for?"
Niel heard Chaos say "Give me control, so we can do that thing for Belleth." "Ok" says Niel. Niel's eyes grow dark. Chaos gets up and leaves his room. He heads to the kitchen. The door is locked, so he picks iit with his paperclip. He goes into the kitchen and grabs a couple ziplock bags. Chaos fills one of them up with small knives. He heads back to his room and hides the filled bag under his bed. He takes the other bag and goes to the reception area. The nurse station there was out taking a cigarette break. He grabs a box of paperclips and fill up the bag. He goes back to his room. When he gets there, he dumps the paperclips on his floor. He straitens out each one and puts them back into the bag. He hides the bag of paperclips.
Ambriel went to her closet and grabbed a green locked box...opening it up, she pulled out a can of disenfectant..."Here you go, it wasn't any trouble to get." "Gregor, do you know what that thing is that I saw in Mortimer's room?...And do you think it will come after me?" She waited for an answer.
"SInce the beginning of time, man has been seeing things which don't fit into the natural order of things on Earth. Whether called monsters, trolls, demons, or spirits, there was always a single weakness ascribed to them all - fire. If what you are seeing is real, fire should kill it." Gregor reached into his waist band and pulled out a single match. "Perhaps you should keep that can."
Ambriel reached out and took the can and the single match...she hoped she was wrong...but, she believed that she would need it. "Thank's Gregor...one last question...what is your gut instinct concerning Niel and Chaos?...Are they trustworthy?" Ambriel couldn't help but wonder about that knife incident in the closet...it just didn't "feel" right.
Gregor shrugged. "I've learned things are rarely what they seem. That being said, I do believe Chaos will only operate on the principle of protection. He will act to protect himself, Niel, .... and those who they may be infatuated with. Don't judge him too harshly, aren't you considering how to make a flamethrower at the moment?"
Ambriel was stunned by Gregor's quick change of putting it back on her. "Uh...well, yeah...And you know...I think I can figure out how to do it, but... just in case I can't, why don't you tell me Gregor."
"Light the match and use the spray in short bursts. Make sure the match is between you and whatever you want to deal with. If what you described comes after you, then that should handle it."
"Okay Gregor, I understand...I will try and remember that if something comes after me." Ambriel wondered if there was anything else Gregor would ask her...she wasn't sure just what to think about him...he seemed different, something was off. "There you go thinking too much girl, just relax and let it go for now...if he isn't on the up and up...you will deal with him should something occur." There it was...that voice had come back...the hairs on her neck stood up...she took a breath as she sat down on the edge of the bed.
John sighed, and walked into the mental asylum's corridor. It was silent, and such a painful silence it was that John wanted to scream and break it apart. However, he overcame his annoyance and walked towards Niel's room. It was the most dangerous place to be. After all, there was the playroom and the cafe. But lucky for him, he was under disguise. He knocked the door, and then waited for a response. He made sure no one recognized him.
John breathed deeply and then walked inside, shutting the door behind him. He quickly locked the door and then rushed towards Niel, who looked at him startled. "Just gimme a moment." He spoke, and then hit Niel with a bat, who fell down, knocked out. John quickly picked him up in his arms. ****** Niel slowly opened his eyes, and John became alert. He turned on a small bulb to help Niel see him, but also kept his gun ready in case Chaos possessed him. He had heard of Chaos'es chivalrous abilities.
Niel woke up and saw John standing there. "Why do you have me tied up?" says Niel as he felt his head throbbing in pain. Niel can here Chaos screaming in the back of his head "Let me at this bastard right now, I'll f***ing kill him." "We are tied to a chair and he has a gun, if you take control he will kill us." thinks Niel. He looks up at John and says "I'm guessing this has something to do with Belleth, correct."
"Ah, so you know about Gregor's real name. But I doubt he told you anything substantial." John sighed, trying his best to sound weak. "I do not wish to harm you, Niel. I do not wish to harm anybody. But if you follow Belleth's footsteps, you will fall flat on your face, dead. He is a wrong person to be with. Trust me, he is the one pulling the strings. My real name is Calipto, and we were school mates, you can say. He was always into medical science, but his ideas were psychotic. He wanted to use surgical medicine in every arena of medicine regardless of the results. He was a fanatic. He told me that he loved blood spurting." He then stopped, and spoke humbly: "Niel, he is dangerous! Please, I am bound to follow him, but you are not! He has blackmailed me into his evil schemes, but you must not be!"
Skye sat on her bed thinking. There was so much to think about after all. Aliens, that man, Mortimer, and Gregors plans. There was more of course, but she didn’t feel they applied to her. She couldn’t connect it all. Where there really aliens? How was that possible? She had never thought of them as real, then again, her own question defied her. If she knew Klesps was real, then she must know aliens are real. What bothered her the most was that man. He hadn’t belonged there, obviously. He had used her to break in. She had been more then happy to do so until he called her insane. Though, she still wondered. He had come just before the news about the aliens. Was there something about Doctor Brenda’s room? She didn’t know what to think. She sat up in bed as her eye gave a twitch. “I’ll bash your head in!” she screamed. Her voice echoed, as she looked up at the ventilation system. She knew she had one more trip to make. She had to know what was in Miss Brenda’s room, no matter how much she wanted to quit caring. --------------- She jumped down onto Brenda’s desk with the shark knife in between her teeth. The room was silent besides the sigh of her computer. She had left it on. She quickly sat at the desk, and looked through the files. She wasn’t sure what to look for but something had to be there. The computer was slow to load, and she walked away to look through the files. She tried her hardest to keep them neat, but made sure to look at every sheet and under every file. She ransacked through her drawers, trying to put everything back to where it was beforehand. She looked through all the papers on the desk, and even under the desk. She then went to the books on the shelves, flipping through each page in a quick fast pace. Did she find anything?
Niel hears Chaos say "This guy is lying. He is trying to use Belleth's cover story, and we both know he isn't really that insane. For now you should play along to try to get more info but don't tell him about Belleth's plan." Niel looks up at Calipto and says "So what do you want us to do."
A thick envelope falls from Skye's search. She picks it up, and open it to reveal two passports, one issued to Brenda Stives and the other to Danielle McCarter, but with the same face.
John sighed, shutting his eyes close. "I want you to trust me, Niel. I know that you do not. Please, just trust me. I will do anything to prove myself."
Niel says "Ok then tell me about why the military was involved during the riot.", not expecting an honest answer.
"The military is under Belleth's guidance. I know you will not believe me, saying I shot Belleth. I was trying to get rid of him for the hospital's sake. But you do not know what he did to me later. He killed my wife." John then started weeping, pulling his hair frantically. "And now he has my daughter. He will stop at nothing, nothing at all Niel."
Niel says "You know its hard to trust someone that has me tied down, and has a gun ready to shoot me."
Skye looked at her find with wide eyes. Why was it the same person, with two different names? She quickly slid them in her pouch. She took some printing paper, and quickly folding a few of the sheets into a booklet. Might save her some time from Brenda finding them gone. Weight might fool her. She quickly put everything as it had been, and stood on the edge of the desk. She lifted herself up and crawled back to her room. She had some thinking to do, and more importantly she needed to hide these things. She couldn’t have anyone finding them.
John bit his lower lip, and then pulled out his gun from his belt and threw it towards Niel's feet. He then walked forward and opened the ropes, acting calm. "I trust you enough not to hurt me, Niel. Now please trust me, otherwise you and your friends will perish."
"I'm guessing you wouldn't have gone through all of this if you didn't have a plan to deal with Belleth." says Niel.
John nodded, and humbly backed away a little. "I just want my daughter safe from him. Maybe, if you lure him towards me to a secluded place, I could reverse his threat and force him to return my daughter. The remainder of what should be done is to be left on your shoulders alone, Niel."
