The stranger walked over to Skye's door and pulled out Gregor's key and opened the door. Before Skye or Glenny could see what happened, he was gone.
Glenny looked up to the vent. "Well, yes.." he said, and looked at her missing limbs unsurely. "But are you sure you can get through with the.. ?"
As two orderlies escorted Chaos back to his room, he begins to laugh. One of the orderlies says "What are you laughing about." "This!" says Chaos, as he elbows the man in the nose. He punches the man while he's down and delivers a kick to the other mans jaw. Both of the orderlies lay on the ground, knocked out. "I wonder if there is any worthwhile information in Brenda's office." he thinks. As he walks through the hallway he sees orderlies running, some of them were talking about some kind of demon. He sees the "demon" but it disappears quickly into the shadows. He gets to Brenda's office and opens the door. He sees her and George by her desk. "Damn, it looks like Skye did a number on you." he says.
The stranger looked at Chaos and just smiled before melting into the shaodws and disappearing into the vents.
Skye looked at the opening door with joyful eyes. She grabbed Glenny’s hands as she attempted to balance herself on her foot. “Help me get to a wheelchair, please.” She told him, as she held onto him for balance. Together they walked from the room and to the nurse's station. They quickly grabbed one of the wheelchairs. The grafitti was still on the wall and brought a smile to herself. "Did you hear, what Brenda did?" she asked with a wink.
I was feeling very weak. I fell on my back and started to swoon, when the door opened and Cain walked in. "Hello Miss. Francine. Medications." He stepped over the wet vomit without any sign of surprise or disgust. "No...it makes me ill. Very ill...please, I want a doctor. I don't want to die like this. I want a doctor." "So you confess you're not a doctor?" I wept, helpless. "Yes, yes, I'm a not a doctor. But I'm a patient, and I want to see a doctor." Cain smiled and handed to me the same liquid. "Drink it." "But I want a doctor!" Cain's eyes formed a naughty look and he spoke lowly: "You'll be alright, Francine. Just wait." I recognized the voice immediately. Calipto! My eyes were thinning as I crept away from him. "Cal-lipto?" He nodded, and then pulled my hand forward and kissed it. "Soon, my dear, you'll be forced to accept me as your husband." He then grabbed my jaw, just like Cain used to, and swigged the liquid down the throat. I was forced to swallow it, and as soon as he let go, he disappeared. As though he never really were there.
Brenda looks up at Chaos, with fearfull eyes. "Whats the matter, did you think I was that creature." he says as he laughs.
He shook off confusion as Skye winked to him, hoping he understood fully what she meant then. He watched the few nurses around them. "O-of course." he said, and held tightly on the grip of the chair, pushing it further.
Brenda grabbed hold of the phone once she was in a better state of mind and had escaped Chaos for a while. "Hello?" "Hi Brenda. Good thing you called." "Tell me about it! There's thing mega crazy guy who's trying to mentally torture me! An alien, for sure." "I'll listen to that later. Right now, tell me how you're gonna save yourself physically." "Huh?" "Open the Fox News webpage." Brenda jumped to her computer and started typing the address. Once the page loaded, she gasped. "The press will get you in a less than half an hour. You need to go underground." "But, I - " "No buts. Go underground. And...that...what were you saying?" "Mental torture alien!!!" "Yeah, yeah. I'll do research on it. You, go underground right now." "What about the hospital?" "I'll handle it. Now shoo!" Brenda put the receiver down, and pulled out her new passports. She burned the one with the name Brenda Stives but kept the other. "Time to run." She thought to herself and started running out of the hospital.
Chaos watched as Brenda ran by him. He had let her get away. He goes over to the computer and goes onto the internet. "Well, some one leaked information to the news. So they know all about Brenda. We could use this to our benefit. We have to free Francine. She is the only witness that doesn't have some sort of mental disease, so people might actually listen to her." says Chaos
"Is it time yet? I'm getting tired of pretending, Calipto." "My dear, your acting has served you. Camera are everywhere you see. You cannot trust any wall, any mouse." "But now it is time to rise and ruin the galaxies! Why wait? Why pretend?" "Because you are still not ready to go, Francine." I grinned evilly and then got to my feet. "And when will I be ready, Calipto?" "When we finish off Belleth and the puny humans we live in." We both smiled.
The stranger felt John's presence as did Gregor and Klesps. Calipto's smugness pressed into each of their minds. Klesps' voice was tiny inside of Gregor's skull. I told you not to release him! "He cleared the smoke and forced Calipto's hand," said Gregor sadly. "There was no other way." The stranger understood and focused on Calipto sending a simple message, "I would meet you."
John ignored the voice in his head and walked away from the cell. ****** Whoa! That was a nasty dream. John and I, plotting against Gregor, as aliens? I was taking some drugs, I could bet on it. With that, I yawned and closed my eyes to doze off.
As John walked down the corridor one of the orderlies turned to him. The man's face flowed like melting wax until it resembled nothing that was even barely human. "I really think we should talk."
John eyed him, rather startled. "Belleth?" He asked, but then investigated the man again. Belleth was a shape shifter, but never this efficient. "What do you want?" He asked again, and then looked around. He didn't want any publicity.
The thing smiled revealling rows and rows of vicious teeth. "I'm not Belleth. I am someone who like to have fun. I've been playing with Brenda but ... she ran away before I could really help her. I have heard that you could find me some new playthings."
John ran his eyes from top to bottom. The creature's voice was familiar, but disturbing. "I'm not here to stay anyway. And Brenda, eh? Isn't there any other doctor you want to pick on?" Brenda's mention seemed to trespass direct value, though it did confuse John. John then started walking, ignoring the creature.
John shrugged and walked out of the hospital, unnoticed. "Belleth has cowardly friends." He joked as he made way to his hideout.
Olena had been waiting for a long time - a long time. The press had been there, but she'd ignored them, and they'd ignored her, and finally, the front door opened, and the front-desk worker's head turned, her eyes widening slightly at the towering figure of Salvador Airye. "Daddy!" Olena cried, running into his arms. "Do you need to check in, sir?" Asked the worker, smiling. "I won't be staying, unfortunatley. I just stopped by to see my little girl." He said, hugging his daughter - but as he did, he stealthily slipped something into that strange pocketed sweater he had given her last year for her birthday . . . ****************************************************************** Once he'd left, Olena went to find Skye, and when she did, she placed a chocolate bar on the table in front of her. Then she leaned close to whisper something. "I've got what you wanted - I've also got something I'm sure you didn't think I could come by."
Skye smiled broadly as she leaned over to give her a hug. She put the candy bar in her hand, biting the wrapper off. She broke it in half, giving her the other half. “Thanks!” she said with a giggle. The chocolate melted in her mouth as she savored every bite. “I used some of those things you got me today.” She said with a whisper, “My plans have changed a bit.”
Olena grabbed her wheelchair, as Skye motioned her to do so. "I'll tell you on the way there, we've got a bit of work to do in your room." she said with a smile.
Olena locked her door, and shoved the perfectly folded blanket on the end of her bed under the crack in the door. For some reason, she was paranoid someone would hear and their adventure would be over.
Skye went close to Olena as she explained the new plan to her. She nodded at her, as she grabbed her butter knife and dragged herself to the corner. She quickly began to jab the knife at the first tile as it slowly made it way underneath. She began to life it up with quick strikes. In one push, she lifted the tile up in one piece, handing it to Olena. She quickly did the same with for more of the tiles. She looked at her with a smile when he work was done. She moved to the side as she motioned for Olena to start burrowing into the cement. “Start in the middle, I’ll take care of the edges.” She leaned against the bed and gently closed her eyes. She needed a little nap.
