uh... ... ... no. some of us don't. i was born in podunk nowhere where the main form of entertainment is 'cruising the blvd' which consists of driving the car from the mcdonald's to the walmart and back again.... ... and that was the 'fun' thing to do.
lol no worries. if i was from a decent place, i'd probably miss it now. i like to say that i'm 'from' new orleans, but i'm really not.
lol, I'm actually 'from' there, but I was too young to remember much of it. I was about five when my parents packed up and took us on down to Georgia.
Blaine is the crazy cat man. Betsy is going to be an important key in the game don't worry. When it happens I promise you'll be laughing with tears coming out of your eyes.
My character Echoius seemed to die. He was starting a convo with Commongoods, but goods disappeared and now Echoius has basically been washed away. lol! I better make a come back with him soon.
yeah anonymouse~ been back to new orleans recently? lots has changed, but i think we're back to murder rate capital again. haha~
yep yep. mardi gras is awesome~ as long as you have a place to pee. we even have a song, especially about that subject. this is the first time i'll be here for mardi gras in the past 5 years, and this year, i know someone a block from the parades. yay~ i got a place to peeeee!
I haven't been since Katrina. I hear it's still bad in some places. It's a shame what happened. As for Mardi Gras, I would strongly advise going some other time. Mardi Gras is fun, but it gives a very skewed perspective of the city. If you're into drunken college students, go to Mardi Gras, but know that's not how New orleans normally is. It's a really laid back city when it's not packed with tourists getting blackout drunk and making fools of themselves for 10-cent plastic beads.
don't worry. i know where to stand. there are actually some places uptown that doesn't have the drunk problem too much. i mean, plenty of drunks, but it's way tame there. but where else will you get to see a 90 year old woman buy a pair of fake boobs to flash at the floats? lol-ness. but not-so-lolness that her 4 year old grandson was there with her. and i don't flash, but i'm good at getting the beads. it's a pride thing to get the beads... no one knows why, it just is. but yeah, there's so many tourists and other stuff that you won't really see new orleans in it's original state... not that it's been much the same since katrina. and after katrina... everyone got screwed by fema...
