It's your game as much as mine, keep it up, I like being kept on my toes like this.

Hmmm, the transport uses a plasma drive, only not as strong as the ones used by the UEAF starships. It's a relatively long trip compared to a military ship, so yeah, a few long hours, which will seem much shorter in gameplay.

Shes seems quite pissed at Carter. :p
But Carter still adresses her and Nathans points calmly, and tries to rebut them :D Nice old school debate never hurt no one.

Just to let you guys know, I know that this seems like a massive info dump, but don't worry, this is not something that you'll have to refer to constantly or anything, it's just info to make the galaxy seem more real. While the details about the colony are invented the places are real, I've included some links at the bottom for you to check out if you like and one that has a map of Europa on pdf.

    Europa

Europa was a very important moon ever since the early pioneering days of space travel and colonization in the twenty first century. Due to its vast ice and liquid water resources, it became a crucial destination of exploration, permanent settlements, and ice mining.

Many families that became wealthy though private exploitation of the asteroids built their dream homes on Europa and some of the other Jupiterian moons, eventually making a Jovian syndicate, or otherwise simply known as the syndicate.

In the twenty first and early twenty second centuries Europa was still a world far removed from Earth interference and politics and became a place known for harboring fugitives, terrorists, organized criminals, and some of the worst dregs of society (as long as they could pay the right prices for protection). There is a vast disparity on Europa between the extremely wealthy descendants of these early settlers (bourgeois) and the much poorer Peons.

While the middle class is small and virtually non-existent, with successive waves of immigrants the line seems at times to blur. Europa remains an important way station in the system and takes in good revenues from tourism alone. The people of Europa and the other major Jupiterian moons are known for their pandering and catering to tourists and visitors and have a reputation for cordiality as long as the credits flow.

    Capital: Cilicia city, Cilicia

Symbol: the symbol for the Europan Commonwealth is a woman riding on the back of a bull with a royal purple background (representing Europa from Greek mythology and Zeus in the form of a bull). A large circle around the woman represents Jupiter, with a number of small crescents below them representing the other moons of the Jupiterian subsystem.

Economy: Europa has a flourishing industrial base with major manufacturing, mining, and even a significant military infrastructure. While Europa is a wealthy colony that gains its wealth from a wide variety of sources, its primary and preferred source of income is tourism.

Government: Commonwealth. The colony of Europa is a member of United Earth and part of the Galactic Commonwealth. As a Commonwealth they have autonomy, can elect their own leaders, and are not subject to binding laws. Although Commonwealth colonies are immune to binding laws from United Earth there are a number of common agreements that all of the colonies adhere to, such as opposition to slavery, human gene-splicing, the making of artificially intelligent "Cogs" (cognitive machines), maurading, etc.

Will those locations be significant to navigation on the planet? I don't imagine we'll be staying here long but...

I decided to step it up a little bit tonight and throw some action your guys' way today. I know some of you were starving for some action and Headroller wanted to get his chops wet before going to Hawaii this week.

Remember to keep your heads down and take cover, these guys are playing for keeps!

    Name: Wolf Erikson
    Gender: Male
    Age: 35

Appearance: Wolf is a tall, blonde, blue eyed man with Nordic features and a considerable number of cybernetic prosthetics on his body.

Personality: Wolf is a man of many contradictions. He is well-mannered and polite but also roguish and underhanded. He believes in health and tempering but drinks heavily and chew tobacco. He is charming and charismatic but also a hermit and socially awkward. Wolf is difficult to figure out because he has had to adapt in order to survive and has adapted so many times that he has picked up a number of odd character traits. To those who don't know him Wolf is no different than a villain, he's willing to take risks and shortcuts to get the job done. To those who know his style he's a morally ambivalent anti-hero who is willing to stoop down to the level of a bad guy to do "good". He is like a hero from a revisionist western, an unlikely hero who tries to convince himself he's only in it for the money.

Background: Wolf Erikson is a proud distant descendant of Vikings Eric the Red and Leif Erikson. Exploration and bold venturing is in his blood, Wolf is a veteran of the UEAF and of some small unofficial wars. Wolf was horribly wounded in battle, and after receiving cybernetic prosthetics was asked to leave. Forced to eke out an existence in harsh deep space, Wolf found his calling as a shady rogue. While never a Marauder he had been a mercenary, smuggler, bootlegger, and privateer. Wolf is fully immersed in the seedy underworld of the system and an unapologetic scoundrel. He is good in a bar, casino, or brothel. He is even better in a fighting hole with a rifle. While he would never admit it to a soul, he misses his glory days in the UEAF.

LOL Cog and Mingo, I swear that's the way I see Wolf in my mind, only blonder and fairer:rolleyes:

he's actually a mix of Wolf Larsen from Jack London's 'Sea Wolf' and Beowulf Shaeffer from Larry Niven's known universe.

and yes, Carter's choice of only wounding the terrorists is very admirable:)

Yeah, decided to add a bit of drama, Nathan seems to normal. Don't worry, it wasn't fatal, it was his shoulder. Since he's blocked off from you guys, he's going to end up finding his way to some Europa police and hopefully get healed by them :D.

Okay guys, please don't post for like the next forty-five minutes. I have to do a longer post to catch Trin up to everything else, and I really don't want to have to do a major edit. Thanks. Oh, and good job guys, this is turning out pretty sweet.
