Please allow me to introduce myself. . .

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by alanzie, Oct 11, 2017.

While I've been a member of this forum for some time, I've never introduced myself, critiqued, posted, etc. I feel that it's about time I changed that.

I wrote my first short story 35 years ago. It sat in my sock drawer. Life went on. Five years ago (2012), my son (a 30 year old English major grad) found the story (while, obviously looking for a pair of socks) and, at his suggestion, I dusted it off, updated it and sent it off into the big scary world of submissions. It got picked up by the first publication I sent it to. . .Dark Moon Digest. The story, called 'Norman Rockwell is Dead' was published in Dark Moon Digest issue #10 at the beginning of 2013. WooHoo! I am now searchable on Amazon and my name is linked to a real ISBN number!!! So . . . time to strive for something bigger. I am hoping to use this site to garner some criticism and advice on some longer pieces I am working on. Along the way, I hope to offer some valuable (hopefully) help and constructive criticism to others.

"Pleezetomeetchu" as well, I'm 8bit bob. I'm fairly new here, but everyone here has welcomed me with open arms, and I know they'll do the same to you.

    Welcome to the forums :)
