I'm very glad to have found this forum... My name is David! I graduated from Georgia State University with an English degree (concentration in creative writing in poetry). I was on the 10 year program It's a miracle that I graduated because I hated school up until I entered my upper level courses in college. I graduated high school in 1997. I'm proud of being a part of generation X, but maybe I shouldn't be. I don't know. 90s grunge rock is my #1 favorite genre of music, ie. NIRVANA. I've always had romantic thoughts and feelings about the 60s revolutions and thought. I really love The Beatles and the blues... I want to author novels and literary critique, without question. I have no backup plan! I know I could be awesome... I can't wait to get in to the workshop threads. I'm very analytic and hope to offer plenty of useful critique. I really miss my college workshops... I love the classics, literary fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. The best book I've read is The Brothers Karamazov. My favorite movie is "Goodfellas." I look forward to giving and gaining much here! All the best!
Welcome to the forum, gorgeouscaptainin-- Umm, what was it again? (Just kidding, ) Anyway, here's a link to the New Member Guide to get you started around here. Have fun!
Gosh, I hope nobody feels that they need to key my entire 'gorgeouscaptaininsaneoh'... Call me 'gorgeous' or 'captain' for short... Dave/David too... Thank you for the welcomes! To pick one, it has to be 'Come Together.' Oh, and I really like that Hemingway quote. That's very nice of you to say!
Cool. My favorites are: Michelle And I Love Her A Day In The Life Hemingway's the man. He constantly amazes me with his style.
Welcome David! Or should I say Gorgeouscaptaininsaneoh. Everyone here is friendly, let people know if you need anything!
Hi David. Welcome to the forum. I wish you luck in your quest for authorship! On a side note: I'm from the north-west of England and I grew up listening to The Beatles. They are an amazing band; possibly the greatest of all time. I briefly met Paul McCartney once as well. I shook his hand and he said: 'Hey. How you doing, man,' in his diluted scouse accent. Also, Nirvana is up there as well.
