I have decided to introduce, 'Angels' into my work. As I have called my people who are immortal before they reproduce Pre-Mortal, they then become Mortal when they reproduce and they begin to die - I have called the Angels Ante-Mortal. They are all called Litaens after the planet they are on. Two questions: 1) Do you prefer Ante-Mortal or Post-Mortal? 2) Any ideas for silly nicknames for each group ?
That was actually why I wasn't sure if it should be Post-Mortal because they are dead lol for me Ante-Mortem is a little close to Ante-Natel hmm
I'd go with either, sorry to not be of much help in that department (I hate when people act super indecicisive when you ask them for help lol) but one thing to keep in mind is that although a word might sound like something else when it's said out loud, it's not as much the case on paper. After all, if Tolkein were writing his books now, he might run into the issue of Middle Earth sounding like Middle East, but it looks totally different on paper you know? As for nicknames, these might be completely stupid but: For Ante-Mortal: Ants Aunties AM's Antmors/Anmorts Anteems For Post-Mortal: PM's Postmorts, pomorts, pomors etc Posts Post-Mortems (I could see someone like Nate making a joke about that?)
I love Aunties lol wonder if Pre-Mortals could be Preemies Actually hmm maybe Grannies ? Big Sisters - wondering if Nannies would work. OK thank you for the thoughts.
