as some of you may know, we lost dave kuzminski last month and the fate of his brainchild p&e, one of the best writers' resources on the internet was in danger of going with him into the great beyond... thankfully, i have good news... just got the following email: ------------------------------------------------- Hi, maia, just wanted to send an update that I reached Dave Kuzminski's family, and have taken over Dave's work with P&E. So it's officially still in operation now. I have it successfully moved to my critique.org servers. There are months of missing email requests that were lost, so if anyone asked anything they'll need to re-ask. I can see lots of dead links and such as well, and will get on those. Could you let folks know in the thread you'd posted in? I can't find my bookmark (and have my hands busy learning the insides of P&E). You can copy this message if you want. Thanks! Andrew Burt (the Critters Writers' Workshop guy) ----------------------------------------------- so, thanks go to andrew for being so generous with his time... here's the new link: pred-ed.com/ love and hugs, maia
This is good news. P&E is a great resource for writers, so I'm glad (and thankful) Mr. Burt is taking the time to maintain it.
Would you mind telling an uninitiated fellow as myself what P&E is? Considering what @thirdwind said it wouldn't be too bad an idea to add is as a Writing Resource, right?
Preditors and Editors is a great resource to see which agents and publishers are legit and which are scammers. A MUST SEE before signing with anyone.
Excellent news, Maia! Thank you. Preditors (sic) & Editors is a site that collects experiences, good or bad, from people who have made use of publishing companies and agents, and recommends whether to avoid individual ones based on their policies or on reported experiences.
Then I suppose my suggestion stands, that someone should add this to the Resource section. And, of course, thank you both for your answers!
There is a stickied, locked thread of resources in the Writing Issues->General Writing forum, and another one in Writing Issues-> Publishing. These should be added to the resources as well (and P&E is mentioned in one or both).
