Never mind. I found it. Worse than running across one's old silly threads is seeing all the typos you couldn't fix back in the day because we had a stricter window of opportunity for editing and I wasn't a mod yet. (fixed!)
Where are you guys in the forum now? I want to do some, but need to coordinate with you all before I start.
I finished 2013, so if you start at the end of December 2012 and work backwards in time, you should be fine. I doubt Moose has been able to cover all the middle ground today.
I also liked the one about looking at the negative space between the words and seeing shapes ..... you were once nearly as weird as pinky, but without the obsession of talking about your dick
Oddly my boss insists i do this thing called 'work' during the day, so apart from a brief spell at lunch time i'm still in early 2010.
I do that to this day. Just let your eyes go blurry as you look at the page and it's like making shapes out of clouds.
I am now at the beginning of 2012. Where for art thou @Tenderiser / @mashers that'll do for tonight but we can punt this one out the park tomorrow.... I guess we need to look through entertainment too (there's no point in looking at the debate forum as everything in there belongs)
@big soft moose I'm about to pick up where @Tenderiser left off, at the end of December 2012. Are you working forwards in time from where you are? I sense we are going to clash, but can't quite work it out as I'm not sure which direction we are each supposed to be going
I'm coming forwards in time jan - feb - march etc - you are going back dec-nov- oct amd so on That said so long as we don't rip a hole in the space time continuum by trying to move the same thread to two different places at the same time it doesnt really matter if we overlap because now we are moving them ourselves there's no duplication
Great, thanks moose. I'm Working backwards from the end of Dec 2012. This is much easier than reporting! Am I the only one with three WF.org windows open? One with the thread I'm moving, one with the forum list, and one for responding to stuff
I'm working with two , one for the lounge in 2012, and one for reporting stuff - I don't need the forum lit because theres a full list in the drop down on the move panel
I'm using the forum list so I can check I'm moving things to the right place - I still need to check the descriptions on the forums from time to time as I'm not so familiar with many of them.
It was probably moved into the lounge out of GW in the first place - don't for the love of small furry Cerberus put it back nothing really belongs in GW - it just winds up there because of lack of categorisation... so a lot of stuff like my writing space, how can i get my kid to write , and so on wound up being moved into the lounge brecause its not really a writing question
Well, this is much quicker than doing GW. 2012 is done already. There weren't that many to move TBH, so I could click through quite quickly. I'll PM @Tenderiser where I got to in case she wants to do more before I do (I'm getting dressed and then taking the dog out now )
we've obviously crossed over - I'm in april 2012 heading north and i'm still finding things to move.... you guys may as well head through to the end of time and see if you pick up bits ive missed, and I'll keep heading back to the future and likewise ... different people see different things
Oh, we’re finished? I’m happy to start again and the end. I did see things in 2012 that didn’t belong in the lounge, but they weren’t specific enough for anything other than GW. So I left them.
I'm in mid 2013 and i'm still finding a few bits - mostly software or feedback and support. Its up to you whether you want to trawl through what ive already done, but i'm fairly sure you'll find a few more to move (because different folks are more attuned to different types of thread). heres also the entertainment sub forum to comb through
Having reached the end of 2014 without finding anything to move since my last post I think i'll call that done and dusted. Cup of tea then entertainment
well that didn't take long - that's entertainment done , moved 6 threads and four of them were back into the lounge proper , the other two were into plot dev
