Hey there. I'm bouncing around and reading lots of stuff here. What I've gleaned so far in reference to writing contests is that each submission should be short and not a part of something you feel you can get published. Each person here is gifted in their own way and transfering our thoughts to paper is what we do with that gift. It takes a bit to hone that skill as I've learned just from reading my own stuff over and over again but we keep at it. Good luck and keep writing, you'll do great!
