The title of the thread was purely for entertainment purposes and because I didn't want to call it "Hello, new member here." Suppose I should give you some basic information about myself. I'm Rhys. 24 next month and a father of one son. Harry Potter was my obsession of choice growing up and 90% of what I read is some form of fantasy. I fell in love with writing fan fiction in my early teens but in 2009 decided to try and make a commited effort to write something original. I have self-published a short story and two parts to my fantasy series on Smashwords with the third part in progress and in the past I have also written short stories, songs, poems etc. just for fun. I came here to 1) discuss writing and reading with fellow writers/readers, 2) improve my writing (and just by lurking the last few days I can see I have a lot to learn) and 3) find some more material to read from the (I'm assuming) many great writers here. And since I don't know what else to say, I'll just list a few of my favourite things... Band: Killswitch Engage Movie: The Shawshank Redemption Book/s: Harry Potter Author: JK Rowling (and probably the only author I have read the entire collection of) TV Show: Game of Thrones OK, I've already dragged this out long enough. Welcome to the boards, Rhys! That thread title... seriously, you've got to make a story out of that!
