yeah, and it uses a concert grade amp to do it. I remember back in the 90s, when people would troll because they were anonymous, and got off on trying to upset people. We have too many children in adult bodies currently.
it was some random who arrived posted eleventy links to his book and got banned in the space of about an hour, its been my experience that the people with the least reason are often the most vocal
They obviously either haven't read Twain, or ignored his advice. "Better to be thought a fool, than open your mouth and prove it."
Headline of the Day from The Babylon Bee: Former Twitter Employee Can't Seem To Find Meditation Room At New Taco Bell Job
I once had a manger who took some Xanax at work and we couldn't find him for a while, until I had to go into the walk-in and there he was, staring at the wall with a weird hypnotized expression on his face. He was absolutely useless that day. I think it's also the drug room.
Birds pee and poop at the same time. The pee-poop mix is made up inside of them and then comes out the same hole. But birds do not fart.
Americans are responsible for less than one percent of the mismanaged plastic waste in the ocean. More than 90 percent of this ocean trash can be traced back to just 10 rivers in Asia and Africa.
We've got the infrastructure for dealing with it - recycling and secure landfills. But we still produce an awful lot of plastic waste.
Sales of the Nash Metropolitan peaked in 1959 and spurred the "Big Three" to shift production to more compact cars.
We had a Nash when I was about 4. All the passenger seats could be put flat to form a play/sleep area for us kids. Seatbelts? What were those?
I miss the days when cars were metal, and not plastic or fiber glass. When you could sit of the fender dangling your feet in the engine compartment to work on them.
I saw an interesting article this morning.the north American railroad industry is responsible for our modern time zones. Prior to that every town set their on time based on solar noon in their location.
Mountain lions can leap 18 feet vertically and 40 feet horizontally, thanks to having the largest hind legs (proportionally) of any cat species.
In long skirts! Now that's determination! “This photo shows Lucy Smith and Pauline Ranken climbing on Salisbury Crags in Edinburgh. Smith was one of the founder members of the Ladies Scottish Climbing Club; the other two founders were Jane Inglis Clarke (1859-1950) and her daughter Mabel. They formed the club in 1908 because as women, they were barred from joining the men-only Scottish Mountaineering Club.”
This touches on one of my pet peeves. At least here in the U.S., 11 November is "Veterans Day," not "Memorial Day." Veterans Day is NOT the day set aside to remember those who gave their lives in service of their country. Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and to honor living veterans. In recent years, I have usually had multiple people thank me for my service on 11 November. This year -- not a single word.
Isn’t it a bit broader than that? I’ve always understood Veterans day to be commemorating all veterans, including the dead. Thank you for your service by the way.
It's that way in Canada with Remembrance Day. Until now, I assumed it was the same in the US, but no... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veterans_Day
Right, doesn't "all US military veterans" include those veterans who have died? Remembrance Day is wholly focused on the dead, I think.
According to the Guinness World Records, this is the most difficult tongue-twister to say: "The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick."
