Thank you for allowing us to consider "The Dead Road". We thought this was pretty good. It has a dreamy kind of quality that works well for the subject. Unfortunately the outcome is really no surprise, though, and there's not a lot going on so we're going to pass. Godd luck elswhere and please keep trying us.

My latest rejection for something I sent months and months ago made me quite happy.

Bless these guys. They still encourage me despite the fact that my work is almost always predictable - I feel like they're really trying to find something good about my work LOL. It's nice to know they don't look their noses down on me; i'm really grateful for that.

Yes, that's certainly a "don't give up" kind of rejection letter.

I was happy the Thursday before last when one of the more cynical members of my writer's group looked over at me and sincerely chimed, "I really do enjoy your writing so." That makes my day.

Other than that, a bag of Skittles, a good movie, a free month of WoW, and/or a smile from a beautiful woman will make me happy.

My boss called me on my cell a little bit before I left work today. I assumed it was to change my schedule for tomorrow, ask me if I could take care of something that he conveniently forgot to do, or something similar.

Nope. He wanted to congratulate me on my awesome sales for last week. We had a furniture event (I'm the specialist), and I had the highest sales and attachment rate in the district. :D:D

Yay Hidden!!!! :D I'm so proud of you! :)

I am happy because I have started a food log and exercise program to live a healty lifestyle, I'm taking my part to help the environment, and soon I'll start volunteer work at the soup kitchen and homeless shelter. Also, I'm getting fantastic grades in school and my teachers are singing my praises. :)

    It's a good life.

When the toner I wasn't expecting until Monday (which was causing huge problems not having any) arrives on Wednesday just in time to save my butt.

Hey, I like to keep my options open. *shrug* :D But I know that Coco and H came first. And I will always have that spot in my heart for my ginger men.

What makes me happy - whipped cream. Straight out of the can and into my mouth. God, I go crazy for that stuff. And a cup of english breakfast tea. OK, so the things that tend to make me happy are food......I've realised this just now.

    *bows head in shame*

Hey, is English breakfast tea supposed to taste like kippers?
The kind I got tastes strongly of fish...

I kid you not. The box I got tastes and smells like fish.

It says on the back that it's meant to 'compliment a traditional and hearty English breakfast.'

I assumed that might be kippers?
