Having blizzard warnings--we're expected to get about 12 to 14 inches of snow tonight. This......is.....WISCONSIN!! *stands in a 300-esque pose*

he best part is that this is totally commonplace. :D

I miss Wisconsin. It was a great place to grow up. I also miss the open fires during winter.

Speaking of such, wood smoke, especially maple. My favorite smell in the world.

I love Blackadder. One of the best British shows ever, by far.

Last year a friend from church tried to give me a swim jacket..but we never found one that fit right. I had pretty much forgotten about it. Today, she came in with a card and $80 cash to make up for the jacket not fitting. So...$80 in unexpected money makes me happy. Also...knowing I wasn't forgotten.

Oh gosh......don't you just love new notebooks? They feel so good in your hands, so blank and waiting to be filled up with so many things. :)

I knew people would understand that here, even though most who know me don't.

Sharing a book with someone. When I loan out a favorite book to someone who has never read it before...and hearing them talk about he book as they discover things. It is like reading it again for the first time myself.

When a simple word sparks off an entire story, and you feel so restless that you have to start writing it immediately.

When the ideas/plot come to you so quickly that you swear you must've read it before, or seen it in a movie.

When you realise that you haven't, and that you might just be on to a really good idea....

I know - I got a 98 on a world history test just Wednesday that I thought I was going to die on. It was a hard test, too.

    Cheers,

Having my little brother over to spend the night at our house.

I didn't realize until I brought him over today that he's never been here before. And I've lived here for two years. Crazy!

Second hand hardbacks with cute messages written in the inside to strangers.

    Unexpected kisses.

    Lovely smelling hair.

Randomly sticking on an episode of Frasier.

The quiet of the city at 5-6am when only the birds are up.

The feeling of moisturised legs on clean sheets.

But more than anything in the world, I think, Chocolate, tea and a gripping book.

Small pleasures with great love make for the greatest happiness.

Snow falling on top of some six inches of earlier snow. Snow is the epitome of prettiness.
