Random Things That Make You Happy Thread

I leave myself little notes and "presents" inside the pages of books, so that months or even years later when I pick them up and read them again, they tumble out. I just found a two dollar bill and a note placed a few chapters within "The Winter of Our Discontent." I know it's weird, but it makes me happy. The best part is answering the questions I leave: Usually they're about conflicts of the time, problems that seemed irresolvable, and yet time makes them all appear so trivial. Or else they're about how I feel, what I'm doing, where I'm going... Definitely a random thing that makes me smile.

 

^That is a really, really cool idea. I may steal it.

Getting married. Not sure if that qualifies as a random thing, but it makes me happy.

Going to boxing. Not much better than landing a solid straight right or uppercut. Hooks are nice too I suppose, but I always throw them wrong. Either too wild or too controlled, never in that middle ground.

 

Metal and Mountain Dew provide me with unlimited happiness. No lie.

 

I just voice acted with my bro for our short-film-literature-project. Doing unintelligible fish voices is so much fun.

when you are in a room full of people and they all stay perfectly silent for 5 minutes and silence fills every inch of the room. It's a wonderful and relaxing feeling.

 

That's a rare treasure when you have three young children!

When my family DOESN'T contact me. That makes me exceedingly happy.
