I hate being hungry but not having an appetite. Waste of food, that is.

I want to buy these cassettes of Ray Bradbury short stories that I cannot find anywhere else. I listened to these in 6th grade and I really want them. But they're cassettes. Converting them to MP3 will be annoying. And they're crazy expensive. I hate trying to justify spending.

I'm always tired, I wonder if I'll ever feel "rested" again in my lifetime--bananas, peanut butter, gazebo, Rosemary should work be dumbed-down to appeal to the masses--I want to go to space?

Y'know, I'm not one to discuss politics as my belief that so long as everyone treats either other with respect and dignity -- they're free to believe or vote for whoever they wish. That said, I do want to say the following:

Tomorrow's the big day for the US. I don't know how you all feel about this, nor do I know who is gonna win. But I do know this: whatever happens, we're all gonna make it. One way or another, we're gonna make it.

    Ew, politics.

I'm just having major anxiety over tomorrow, quietly in the corner, just.

    [hides]

Especially since I don't have any say in what's gonna happen yet. But I'll survive. Hopefully. :D [nervous sweat drop]

One of the things I really like about living where I do is the variety of viewpoints. In addition to our hosts (the Japanese), my office consists of only about three other Americans, five British subjects, six or seven Canadians, one Kiwi, and a bunch of Australians. Explaining your own system and preferences to someone with no stake in the matter, who's willing to call bullshit on you when necessary, is a great antidote to unthinking partisanship. Even when foreigners disagree with you, or vice versa, having one side of the conversation not being emotionally invested makes things a lot easier (and more fun) to discuss.

    I will.

@cydney - So you want to be like Trump or Hitler? You want to be known as the asshole who oppressed minority groups/killed them? Really? Of all the people you want to be like, you say you want to be like Trump or Hitler? Please tell me this isn't your honest-to-god wish.

Just got back from voting. I honestly hate both candidates, and my third party options are no better qualified, so I decided to screw it and vote for a write-in. First time I've done that. Felt great. If anyone tells me I wasted my vote, I'll spit in your eye.

I'm probably either going to vote Jill Stein or write in someone else.

The question though...should it be Bernie Sanders or Goku? Has anyone actually ever tried writing their own name onto the ballot?

I wrote in Francis J Underwood (from House of Cards.) Have you heard of Vermin Supreme? I thought about writing in his name because his pun-skills are on point.

I always write in my own name against anyone running unopposed, just on the principle that no one should ever run unopposed.

What choice do we have? It's either Clinton or Trump.

@Link the Writer How correct you are. 2 slices of half moldy bread around a shit sandwich.
I abstain on the grounds that no one is qualified to do anything productive when it comes to
the common man. Though last I checked it looks like Hillary will win, and that will thrust us
into a war with Russia. Too bad we can't just put Hillary and Putin in a ring, that would be
a fight for the ages. Considering Clinton is no match for Putin, I would be a rich man if that
were possible to bet on such a situation. Our young men and women are tired of dying at the
    hands of incompetence.
